Here We Go!
Read my piece “Messi, Messi, Inménso Messi, Encara Messi” on my substack - contr0lledchaos.substack.com…
This is my trying to put into words the story of Lionel Messi and Argentina and how a young boy from Rosario had to suffer to earn the love and respect of his country of birth. Inmènso Messi!
Enjoy.

When you people do foolish things like this you set a precedent of anyhow behaviors because every Temu dispatch guys will begin to expect this from everyone
Talmabout the other gender, because you’re okay with anyhowness doesn’t mean the rest of us should normalize it
It is why I was surprised people from the church had words for those ones. The church went through its own ‘Omo Iren’ phase. Period when the pastor’s wife even came on here to warn off female members to stop relating with her husband like he was their husband and not just their pastor.

Never disturb a toddler in this moment! Don’t help. Don’t suggest. Observe. A capable problem solver is in training and development.

Same issues today. Very concerned about how Teta wants to combine similar profiles in attack. You can’t play with 3 ball to feet or 3 runners at the same time, especially in difficult away games. You need a combination of those profiles.

It is (and has been for a while now) painfully obvious that Mikel Arteta does not have the chops to coach the sort of attacking football that consistently and reliably answers the questions Premier League defences pose today. Set-pieces and depth got his side over the line last season, and even that was a tortuous crawl. The floor can only be raised so much. It is all well and good talking about subtle tweaks and miniscule alterations to points of emphasis in the final third, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and the confection week-in, week-out has a distinctly chalky, mealy taste. Outplayed for an hour at home by Leeds last week, outplayed by Nottingham Forest this.

Good 3 points in a difficult stadium for us. We have to improve how fast we move the ball in matches like this and the quality in the attack.
The simple thing is that we are an awfully set up team offensively, especially in the league.
We have an incredible defence that has platformed us so well but we continue to be slow and risk averse with this desperation for control.
Arteta simply has to get this right. I am tired of suffering through every game. I’ve dedicated my life to football because it entertains me and gives me joy, why should I not be enjoying my team play football every week. Sigh.
