Nigeria: A Christian mother, Liatu Samuel Dawa, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the “crime” of evangelism.
Liatu shared her faith with a woman in Borno State who later converted to Christianity.
For that, Liatu is now behind bars and her family in hiding after Muslims threatened their lives.
The judge, A.B. Kumdila, imposed the harsh sentence.
This ruling is a gross miscarriage of justice.
The disgraceful action must be overturned and Liatu immediately returned safely to her family.
Free Liatu Dawa.

If you go to church and you are asked to sit somewhere, sit there. That is not sending a soul away.
Why do we have strong head?
The protocols use their discretion, if they sense you could by any means distract others they will find an appropriate place you place you.
Just obey, ah ah. If you go to other places you don’t dictate where you want to sit. Except you are booking the space and we don’t book space in church.
If you say nothing is wrong with what you wore, that’s fine. Nothing is wrong with you sitting where you’ve been asked to sit.
Seun, his arms and armpits are exposed. It is not appropriate for a place you’ll be lifting hands in holy worship. An outfit that exposes your armpit like that is not decent for a church gathering. It is distracting and might be uncomfortable for people around him. Also he was….
Foolish and divisive narratives like this are reasons why tribalism will not go away in a very long time.
Some of us who have steered clear of conversations like this will no longer watch you continue to malign us because of a political party and the ambitions of a man.

What you people don’t know is that with this kind of narrative, you are going to make more Yoruba people vote for him. This man didn’t get a lot of vote from his people in 2023. He got less than 60% of votes from the Yorubas. Unlike others who got more than 80% votes from their tribesmen and women.
Now there will be protest votes for him in 2027 because y’all lack the emotional intelligence to handle electoral defeat and win people over.
This is accurate !! One Indian co-worker emphatically told me that he is from the more prosperous Southern India and we shouldn’t lump him together with the Punjabs of the North who according to him are the ones migrating in droves and are unhygienic. We are really alike.
This is not to defend Nigerians, but Indians are more like us than people think.
As someone who is close to Indians here in Canada 🇨🇦 and has interacted with them closely, I’ve observed that just as we have Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa, Indians have Gujarati, Punjabi and South Indians. And from these interactions, they don’t really gel the way people assume, especially when it comes to marriage and community.
Punjabis and Gujaratis are mostly Hindu and vegetarian, while many South Indians are Christian. Arranged marriage is still strong. Even in Canada, you generally can’t marry outside your group without parental consent. A Gujarati trying to marry a South Indian is usually rejected by the family.
The idea that Indians “mix well” is overstated. They may speak similar languages, but their religions and cultures differ. For example, Garba dance or gods are celebrated by mostly Gujaratis, but not by Punjabis or most South Indians.
What they have over us is numbers and the ability to prioritise multi-generational family living. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, husband and wife can still live under the same roof in Canada, and it works for them.
But unity across tribes or different families is not better than ours. We’re practically the same in that regard.
I’ve been seeing these narratives. Time to put an end to them.

If a man can cry passionately at Beyoncé’s concert, don’t allow anyone to make you feel bad for crying in church. Don’t apologize for loving Jesus — Pastor Iren tells Christians
Apostle Emmanuel Iren has challenged Christians who feel pressured to defend their devotion to God, questioning why some people consider passionate expressions of faith embarrassing while celebrating similar levels of loyalty in secular settings.
Speaking during a sermon, the cleric recalled seeing a video of a grown man crying while American singer Beyoncé performed, wondering why such an emotional reaction was accepted while Christians who sing and praise God are sometimes mocked.
“As a man, why are you crying when Beyonce is singing? As a man, you are a joker. But if they find you in church singing and praising the Lord, they call you a fool for it,” he said.
Using football as an example, he pointed out that some fans purchase season tickets in advance to attend multiple matches, yet may question Christians who give financially to support their churches.
He also compared religious devotion to football fandom, asking why a pastor’s framed photograph in someone’s home might appear unusual to some people, while displaying an image of Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo, popularly known as CR7, would hardly attract the same reaction.
According to the preacher, human beings are naturally inclined to worship, and those who do not worship God may end up devoting themselves to other things.
“Every human being is created to worship, and the ones who don’t worship God are worshipping something,” he said, adding that people who ridicule Christians for following God may also have things they hold in high regard.
However, Iren stressed that Christians should examine their practices in the light of the Bible and avoid extremes before dismissing criticism.
He urged believers not to feel ashamed of their faith or generosity towards the gospel, declaring: “Don’t apologise for loving Jesus. Don’t apologise for being generous to the course of the gospel. Don’t apologise.”

Imagine the international outrage if Christians were the ones carrying out these massacres. Yet when Christians are the victims, the silence is deafening.

You can’t complain about islamophobia if news like this persists.
They carefully planned their honeymoon around their religion and it led to their death. This is not good for Islam at all.
Trending Story: Saudi Arabia has exe/cuted two Bangladeshi nationals, Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siri Akhtar, following conviction of immoral sexual act inside a mosque in Mecca.
The “immoral act” was apparently a kiss on the forehead. They were newlyweds who decided to spend their honeymoon in Mecca.
According to reports in Bangladesh, Saudi authorities refused to consider they were a couple, and the forehead kiss was an expression of appreciation to Allah for a beautiful bride.
Their bodies have arrived in Bangladesh in two coffins for traditional burial rites.

Christianity brought modern education and healthcare to Africa. This is in addition to liberating us from barbaric traditions like the murder of twins among others but yeah that was so destructive it's similar to the senseless riots we're seeing in Paris😭😭

Please carry Jesus on your head oo. Don’t try to do life without Jesus.
What I have a problem with is carrying a pastor on your head. Your pastor is not and shouldn’t be your god.
These Pastors are human too. Know God for yourself.

I actually call you straight forward and I applaud you. It’s perfectly ok for an UNBELIEVER not to want to date or marry a BELIEVER. That’s what we pray for. You made the right decision by staying away from church folks. Kudos.
