Very sad to see the felling of the Sycamore gap tree on Hadrian’s wall - I hope at least it has a chance of being protected and perhaps new life through coppicing? @forestrycomm perhaps you can show them how?

So glad to hear coppicing is being talked about already. It could become the most famous coppiced tree! “National Trust manager Andrew Poad said the stump was "healthy" and they might be able to coppice the tree, where new shoots grow from the trunk's base.”

Trying to re-create my following list over on “the app that shall not be named” is a bit tricksy. Anyone found a speedy method?

The food recipients checked their order but something was amiss. They wanted to ask Mohammed & pointed to his bag. I asked if they had no humanity. They then stepped over Mohammed & went upstairs to dine on the incomplete order Mohammed may have given his life to deliver them. 8/

L4L, R4R, PM4PM. Can we talk about the hilarious lack of imagination in the Conservative Party leadership race?

This daguerreotype offered by @Sothebys at $50 000 - $70 000 is not the earliest known photograph by a Chinese photographer, is not from 1853, was not shot by Lai Chong and doesn't depict General "Ko-Lin". Other than that their description is spot on. 🧐😂 mofba.org/2022/03/21/lai-cho…

A particularly good Femi watch. The conservatives are not the party of freedom (obv).
Boris Johnson likened those fighting for freedom in Ukraine to Brexit voters because he feeds off outrage. The better question is: Have Boris and Brexit ACTUALLY made us more free?

Zoom etiquette question. How long is it polite to stay on a call after the client has forgotten to join… 10 mins? 20 mins?

Rupert Murdoch told PM he must get rid of the BBC while 'bouncing Wilfred on his knee'. The UK is a colony of Murdoch's empire of greed, hate and lies. It is time for us to regain our independence. #MurdochOut!

As i return from mat leave this Jan, this seems like a much better use of my hideous breast pumps!
With the benefit of hindsight, I now realise that all my attempts at new year celebration have been entirely futile. #HappyNewYear

European civilization is built on ham and cheese, which allowed protein to be stored throughout the icy winters. Without this, urban societies in most of central Europe would simply not have been possible. This is also why we have hardback books. Here's why. 1/

Today I sent out our first Workplace Happiness survey at @thishere. I think we spend a lot of time making assumptions about what makes our teams happy - I personally reckon it’s less about company perks and more about great leadership. TBC! Also, love a bit of data analysis.

Watched the friends reunion, and now can’t stop throwing a shouty overly British “pivot” into conversation.
