Trump’s decline in popularity is more concentrated in suburbia and much less pronounced in the Ohio Valley, where he’s still relatively popular… so not sure this tracks.

The total market volume in state races is typically around $1M. Lots of motivation to manipulate markets and shift perceived momentum. In OH, these concentrated, one sided buys made up 20% of the market and the media acted like it was a real barometer of momentum

Before I started my first business, I spent six months mapping out every detail. It gave me some confidence, but in retrospect, I was better off just building the plane while flying. You end up iterating significantly anyways. Only way is to jump, then swim.

Youngstown, Portsmouth, and Eastern Ohio are union households that voted Democratic for decades.
They didn't switch parties because their economic interests changed.
They switched because they stopped believing anyone was paying attention to them. You can disagree with where that led. Understanding why it happened matters more than being surprised that it did.

When we raised for our AI native workforce upskilling platform, most VCs were too fixated on replacing workers to see how the tech could reshore.

Even if it doesn’t replace, it will most definitely displace. Either way it’s a crisis worth preparing for.

Regardless of what you think of JobsOhio.. @mdkmoto 100% right about this:
"A skilled workforce is not a side issue in economic development – it is central to it. States that are winning today are investing aggressively in talent pipelines, especially in sectors like advanced manufacturing and defense.”
Opinion: I started JobsOhio. It's better than failed bet on podcast pushed by ex-OSU pres. | Opinion dispatch.com/story/opinion/c…

The midwest is especially slept on. Texas and California get a lot of buzz, but the top states for manufacturing (adjusted for population) are:
1) Indiana
2) Wisconsin
3) Iowa
4) Michigan
5) Ohio
