TCR specificity prediction is advancing rapidly. The central question is not only which TCR sequence recognizes an antigen, but also which TCR pairings make recognition possible & where is the binding boundary? Our new paper tackles this question. 🧵 science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…

Can dual-epitope targeting overcome antigen escape in #AML? This study shows anti-LILRB4 STAR-T cells achieved promising #AntiLeukemic activity with a manageable safety profile in relapsed or refractory disease. @MedTsinghua @PKU1898 #STTT #OpenAccess: doi.org/10.1038/s41392-026-0…

🚨3rd paper in our PI3Ka public neoantigen trilogy is out in @PNASNews! We show that HLA micropolymorphisms govern whether a neoantigen is visible to T cells by tuning neopeptide dynamics, not presentation or static structure. @MSKCancerCenter @parkerici pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.26…

🚨NEW consensus doc published "Advancing Cell Therapies for Solid Tumors: A Pathway to Overcome Biological, Operational, and Regulatory Hurdles" Cell therapies transformed blood cancers, but solid tumors are a different engineering and delivery problem. This @ASTCT @sitcancer white paper from the 2025 Summit lays out what has to be considered: antigen heterogeneity and on-target, off-tumor risk; hostile tumor microenvironments; limited trafficking and persistence; and practical realities like tissue access and far larger patient populations. Operational plan: standardization, prospective and retrospective sample banking, earlier payer engagement, and regulatory recalibration that is driven by data. #celltherapy #genetherapy #immunotherapy #cancer sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Engineering T cells (CAR-T) has had marked benefits for cancer and autoimmune disease. But doing that inside the patient's body (in vivo) would make that far more practical and less expensive. cell.com/cell-reports-medici…

Thrilled to share our 1st preprint (!) on @biorxiv “Molecular and cellular dynamics of measurable residual disease (#MRD) progression in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).” Led by the indefatigable Yu-Hsiang Chen in the lab (xitter.cf/PhRMAfoundation/status…). 👉👉biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
#PhF25 awardee Yu-Hsiang Chen, a postdoc @MDAndersonNews, is using single-cell technology to study #cancer cells that remain after stem cell transplant. Understanding these cells could help develop better treatments. @pbachi Watch the full interview: phrmafoundation.org/news-eve…
