If find yourself blindly supporting every student lead movement, you’ll be wrong very often, in many eras, on many issues.
A good rule of history: if you find yourself opposing a student movement while siding with the ruling class, you're wrong. Every time, in every era, whatever the issue.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Student movements have not always been on the right side of history. Mao's student Red Guards persecuted hundreds of thousands. Students helped Castro and Khomeini rise to power, and Nazi student groups opposed the Weimar Republic.

isn’t it funny (and ironic) how they’re trying to redefine menstruation in ways that downplay the uterus’s actual role and function because it’s the one thing they cannot steal from us and claim it as their own?

Yes, womanhood includes every single woman. Kardashians, lesbians, even women who don’t want to be considered women. It just doesn’t include men.

Chris Rock just nailed one of the biggest problems with wokeness.
Helping people who feel marginalized is good. He says so himself. The trouble starts when a good cause becomes an institution.
The first few witches were real. Then you open a witch office. Now there are salaries, budgets and pensions to justify, and the office needs a steady supply of witches to keep existing.
That’s the trap. Once a cause becomes a career, solving the problem means losing your job. So the problem never gets solved. It just keeps getting redefined.
A system built to find wrongdoing will keep finding it, whether it’s there or not.

🚨BREAKING: A 13-year-old orphaned girl told staff she felt unsafe, but her request to move was DENIED. JK Rowling just offered to pay for her day in court.
A 13-year-old orphaned girl, the only female in the unit and with no criminal record, was placed at St Mary's Kenmure in Glasgow alongside 11 boys aged 15-17, all teenage offenders. She told staff she felt unsafe and requested to move to an empty houseblock, but her request was denied.
The situation was documented by the Council of Europe's committee for the prevention of torture following an inspection.
JK Rowling responded strongly, offering to pay for the girl's day in court. She wrote: Who does it hurt if we make every space mixed-sex? This is who it hurts: the most vulnerable, those without power and influence, the invisible people politicians don't bother to consider when chasing likes and photo ops.

Replying to @MathewHulbert
Please explain Mathew?
I’m an NHS nurse and would like to get changed before/after a shift, alongside teenage, pregnant, and near retirement women knowing that a man will not enter the space.
I’d like to care for confused female patients, and not have to ask them to lower their voice if they’re upset by a man in the next bed.
I don’t want to tell parents who have a male carer knock on their door, to provide intimate care to their non-verbal daughter that they need to pipe down, or be accused of bigotry.
Exactly why am I wrong in wanting that for colleagues, patients and families?
