His biggest problem was shock and abrasions all over the body. We’ll know more tomorrow but hopefully he was lucky and got away with fractures and the scare of a lifetime

Sometimes we come across dogs and we fear the worst but I think we got to this gorgeous gentle boy, just in time. He'd clearly been hit by a car and also dragged underneath it when two of our team came across him first thing this morning. When I arrived I could clearly see he was still in shock, with his heart pounding and his body and mind in absolute turmoil. Luckily it was only about a 5-minute drive from our little hospital and we were able to get him in, get him treated, and onto the best possible pain relief and medicines. Despite being in so much pain it's unbelievable how nice and gentle he was in terms of his nature. I decided to call him Bruno because that is the meaning of brown in several languages like German. Let's hope we can get him mended, feeling a bit better, and create a better life for this gorgeous boy. Lying at the side of the road, soaked and in agony, will soon become a distant memory for this boy.
