I went to work for James Talarico about a year ago and last night people got to see exactly why! Big Rocha hat tip to his amazing team! Great job last night. We are gonna win Texas and we still need you to donate and knock doors if you can.

More people need to pay attention to and invest in Mississippi this cycle. It’s winnable.

This is true worldwide:

When framed as a choice, voters across key segments overwhelmingly picked a left leaning, inclusive populist worldview over the right's dark, obsessive and weird use of marginalized communities to generate a sense of threat and fear. Even in this terrain it's 59 to 37. +22!

This is some of the most interesting research I’ve done this cycle because it puts messages head to head. The outcome makes two things super clear for Democrats:
1. Connect with people on a personal level on the economy
2. Give them compelling villains (i.e. big corporations)
🧵BAM! We dropped a new Southern Battleground poll showing that across the Sunbelt, an economic populist message outperforms conventional Dem messaging—esp with voters Dems most need to persuade (i.e. less motivated Dems/double haters). W/ @Luke_W_Martin & @celindalake

Democrats are launching a new plan to reengage skippers–voters who stayed home in 2024. @WayToWinAF’s Jenifer Fernandez Ancona said, these voters “weren’t uninformed…They just didn’t like what they heard” and are now “burned and cynical.”

The idea that some still argue that Dems should only talk about issues where the majority of the population agree with them, rather than finding wedges that can move people towards them (and away from the GOP) is so bizarre to me. Politics is persuasion.

matt & co’s theory of how public opinion on immigration would respond to new information was simply empirically wrong.
at this point the only reasonable conclusion is they refuse to update their priors w/ new data because the data is inconvenient for them

Signal 5 here is an incredibly important but often overlooked point - fighting about the ideology of candidates completely misses the point. Voters don't think in a progressive v. moderate framework. Great stuff from @WayToWinAF.

These five signals are from the executive summary, which is a pretty good synopsis. If you’re strapped for time at least give that a read, it’s only two pages! (But check out the appendices too. How voters think is key, and Dems have more than 1.5x as many moderates as Rs!)
