I think recency bias against RTD2 (reality war being unsatisfying, Xmas 2026, tender etc) is making people forget just how terrible the Chibnall era was for the most part. Bland, boring, uninteresting main cast, truly awful dialogue. RTD2 all the way, at least it was ambitious

We allowed gender expectations to spill over into women’s sports to make them palatable. Sports typically thrive on rivalry, intense emotion, even extreme competitiveness, but we keep trying to portray female sports as “wholesome entertainment” and I fear it’s not helping.

theres this idea in the media that if netanyahu loses his election that israel is going to become acceptable to support again, as he is singularly the problem. but if you look into the election you find out every single opposition party is casting him as "too weak on palestine"
