Sorry paying all the crew that designed and construct it from all departments was such a waste man. We didn't even put all our money we got paid back into the Welsh economy or anything we just blew it all on sweets and fizzy drinks from temu
Well there we have it. Whatever comes next, the RTD2 Tardis interior will not be returning when the show eventually returns. What a waste of several million pounds in designing, materials and construction.

It appears as though somebody opened the Toymaker's box and a bunch of music fell out... 👀🔷 #DoctorWho

I keep seeing people saying “if only RTD did this or did that to make it better quality, we’d get season 3 for sure.” …I feel like it was doomed the second Iger stepped back in the room. It could have been the world’s greatest scifi and I still think it would have gotten axed.

anything is way more fun when you don’t deeply involve yourself with the online fandom tbh

The devastation continues as the @DCMS sits back and says nothing while the U.K.’s cultural future is handed to American companies.

After all the recent talk about #DoctorWho coming back as a low-budget BBC Two show, or stranded on Earth for 16-34 yr olds on BBC Three, or as a 9pm dark, spooky BBC One drama for adults, it’s so nice to see this phrase in the tender doc: “suitable for a broad family audience.”

Almost impossible for any government to let go of the triple lock while a lot of the country thinks this way. Until people understand that the state pension is supposed to supplement PRIVATE income in retirement rather than replace it, they'll always think it's too small.
£241 a week £1,049 a month £12,590 a year That’s what the government thinks your retirement is worth after a lifetime of working How are you meant to live on that?

Why would DWM even publish this? Opinions are subjective. Was RTD writing his best ever ideas in the last few years? Perhaps not but there’s still so much to enjoy. This email just feels petty and miserable and DWM was wrong to publish it.
An...interesting letter for DWM to print the end of

The BBC is the corporation. BBC Studios is a production company. The BBC has a policy of putting programmes out to tender so production companies can bid to make them. This helps the BBC secure the best possible value. BBC Studios will be one of several companies bidding.

i don’t think mavity was a particularly funny joke but honestly it’s even more annoying that doctor who fans expect everything to have a payoff and can’t just have a running joke for the sake of being silly
I don't wish to linger here but, why did we do 'Mavity'? The second I saw that gag, I felt my whole being say "that better be relevant" and it never was I feel like there was a missing story of time being ripped apart and altered by the Toymaker or Sutekh, but it never did

RTD2 didn’t go to plan. But it’s easy to forget how many brilliant episodes we got in such a short run. Some of the strongest stories in years. It’s a sad ending to the era and a difficult time for Doctor Who, but I’ll always treasure the adventures we got along the way. 💙💙

Shh! There's no point talking about facts when all the fan-babies want to do is rant and rage and rattle their prams!! Heaven forbid they might understand a little how TV actually works in the 21st Century...

As a point of comparison for how insanely quickly Doctor Who scripts have to be turned around especially when trying to release annually
Vince Gilligan says writing on ‘PLURIBUS’ Season 2 is past the halfway point. “My writers and I have figured out the episodes… I’m looking forward to shooting this, and people seeing it, because I’m kind of digging it.” (Source: Deadline)

It goes back to Capaldi actually (and I do like Capaldi but he didn’t capture audiences at the time the same way) but Chibnall certainly didn’t help. If it wasn’t for the BBC getting Russell back we’d be in this exact same place several years earlier
I just don't get how anyone could earnestly believe that Chibnall had something to do with the current state the show is in. Like just cause you don't like his episodes doesn't mean he's in any way responsible for what's currently going on.

RTD is not to blame for it all. Viewership was declining & the BBC were looking for a streamer before RTD came into the picture. RTD took some risks to combat the challenges and they didn’t pay off. Those risks contributed, but are not the CAUSE of the show’s downward spiral.

It’s an emotive time, but as a fan, try not to take it too personally and feel that we’ve been ‘lied’ to. PR happens everywhere and it’s right that corporations should be able to take risks. Sadly this one didn’t pay off but that doesn’t mean they were intentionally deceitful.

I'm probably in the minority, but I can enjoy RTD2 for its parts if not its whole. Both finales left a poor impression sadly, but this era gave me episodes that become new faves that I'll continue to revisit with my old faves. So I'm still glad it happened.
