My two bits -
Removing LTCG only for FPI is unfair to domestic savers. It’s domestic investors who have saved Indian markets for last 10 years. It’s truly long term capital.
Moreover, It will also start round tripping and hawala like it used to happen earlier when people would send their money abroad thru unofficial channels and bring thru FPI route to save tax and operate markets.
I think it must be rationalised. Both STT and CG can’t exist. Remove CG and keep STT or other way around. If you keeping both, then give credit of STT as tax payment like TDS.
Also pl reduce complexities involved in set off of LTCG with ST capital losses. There are lot of unnecessary complications. Eg, Long term capital loss can’t be set off against Short term capital gain.. there are many more like this across FY carry forward etc.

I am truly shocked by the blind hate of some supposedly well educated elitist Hindus that live with a complete British hangover ! If u love london and America so much. Pls leave ! We don’t want u here trying to put us down! Yes there are a lot of problems but it takes time and look where we have reached in the last 10 years. ! If we support our govt we are #andhbhakts and uneducated. But if we support factions trying to destroy this country from America and Germany we are cool and woke ! There is a war for ur mindset. Ur attention and ur thoughts. But pls don’t be so influenced by media that you refuse to use ur own common sense! Things should be logical factual. And a society ruled by laws is the way we stay safe.

Culpability of a crime shouldn’t be tested or measured by the caste of an accused. If a student is caught using unfair means, he or she should punished as per law? @iitbombay invigilators can’t be hounded for doing their job. It’s a dangerous precedent for the entire examination system.

IIT Bombay topper asks government to make cheating legal in exams 🚨
Priya Mishra, third year student -
"Sorry for the student's family. But why is Sooryanarayana sir getting punished? If he hadn't cheated, sir wouldn't have taken any action. You come into IIT by scoring 30–40 percentile and then you want a mobile to cheat in exams because you can't take the pressure. I can score 90 percent, but I don't have the money to buy an iPhone. It's me who deserves privilege, not kids like him.
The case should be on their parents. The case should be on the system for sending a weak and illiterate child into such a big institute, which requires a lot of brain, IQ and guts to take pressure. If you are not capable of taking pressure, sit home. Don't waste a seat. Sooryanarayana sir resigning is the end of every honest teacher in this country and cheating will no longer be a shameful act."
This is what a true IITian looks like, man. She came through merit and has the brain to pass exams with her hard work. It's a shame that she is sharing the same college with such brainless kids who came through free schemes. 🙏

I strongly oppose the charges against Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla of IIT Bombay under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
My background: I belong to the Devendra Kula Vellalar (DKV) community, classified as SC. I grew up in deep rural poverty and witnessed the suffering of my people first-hand. I was educated thanks to broad-minded people from many communities.
I studied Electronics at NIT Tiruchirappalli, worked at C-DOT Bengaluru, and then at Intel in India and the US, where I rose to Engineering Director and Senior Silicon Architect, responsible for high-speed interconnects vital to modern CPUs and GPUs. I hold multiple patents in this field.
I share this to make clear that I know what it means to come from an SC community and rise through hard work and commitment.
Our DKV community has taken a principled, voluntary stand not to file SC/ST cases against anyone. We have seen how cases under this Act are weaponised, and how that deepens enmity on the ground.
On that basis, I oppose the misuse of this Act in this case. The case against Prof. Doolla must be withdrawn. This matters for the future of SC/ST students and for our nation.
Jai Hind 🙏

Shame on you @tehseenp
Lost all respect for you.
Thakur-funded @SauravDassss won't speak in support of @smritiirani
After his PR drama at the Punjab school, even common Gen Z started to understand how people like Saurav Das cheated them for their political benefit.
People like Saurav are paid contractors who work for whoever pays them!

Amanta Healthcare Ltd
Why is it interesting?
It's a 600cr Marketcap company, yet institutional investors hold around 12.5% of the shares. Notably, Bandhan Small Cap Fund has consistently increased its stake over the last three quarters, reflecting growing institutional confidence.
Another positive sign is that the promoter's last purchase was at around ₹150 per share, while the stock is currently trading near ₹160, indicating promoter confidence at levels close to the current market price.
Amanta Healthcare Ltd
A very unique pharma company with limited competition appears to be at an inflection point.
The most interesting part is that its new capex is expected to be commissioned in July. According to the management, the new facility is expected to generate ₹70–80 crore in annual revenue, with revenue generation starting from the very first day of commissioning.
In addition, the company's solar power plant is expected to save around ₹9 crore annually in energy costs. The company also derives nearly 30% of its revenue from exports, providing healthy geographical diversification.
Overall, it looks like a very interesting company and is definitely worth studying at this stage.

THE REASON WHY WE DONT DESERVE GOOD INFRASTRUCTURE IN INDIA!!!
This is the Rs 100 crore cycling track in Gachibowli. First solar cycling track in the country and second of its kind in the world!
Here a Congress leader performs final rituals on the track, including taking baths, tonsuring and what not.
When a cyclist questioned this - they threatened him saying they know the CM and that they are the local village sarpanch’s family.
They even called for a water tanker and took baths right there!!!
My heartfelt condolences to the family who lost someone. But sorry that doesn’t give you the right to do this.
There are enough places like crematoriums, community halls and such to take care of final rites.
People who have seen and been on the cycle track know how precious this infrastructure is.
Whatever happened today is absolutely pathetic.

It was actually a state-backed call for violence against upper castes, so brutal that many dropped their surnames.

@IndiaToday, any action?
