this is so upsetting considering how many of the male cast members have been able to have a kid without leaving the show
Amy Poehler says parenthood cost her dream job. SNL kicked her out after she had her baby.
Interviewer: “How’d you know when it was time to leave SNL?”
Amy Poehler: “I was pregnant, and I had to have that baby. But then I came back after I had the baby, and then they were like, ‘You gotta get out of here. You gotta go take care of your baby.’ And I was like, ‘But I want to stay with you guys.’ And they were like, ‘Nope, you have to leave.’
It’s very hard to figure out when it’s time to go because it’s such a… it’s like, you know, a dream job.”

We may never see a trilogy of games like Mass Effect again.
I don't love Mass Effect because of the combat. I love seeing Garrus calibrating, Tali spying on Engineering, Mordin humming while synthesizing, and Joker being sarcastic to the AI.
Few games have ever made companions feel so much like people you genuinely knew, and even fewer have delivered the character growth, relationships and consequences that Mass Effect could build across three entire games.
Choices made years earlier could come back to reward you, haunt you, or completely change the fate of someone you'd grown attached to.
And that's the part I'm worried we may never quite get again.
Because when developers talk about making games like Mass Effect today, one thing comes up repeatedly - planning an interconnected trilogy from the beginning is insanity.
Maybe they're right.
But that insanity is also part of what made Mass Effect special.

this is genuinely crazy, a very beloved composer approaching bioware because mass effect was his “all-time dream project”. this is the kind of shit that EA just… threw away

Bioware has been a massive part of CDPR history. We befriended them when localizing and selling Baldur’s Gate games in Poland, Czech, and Slovakia. And later they were great help when lending us their engine for Witcher 1, sharing their wisdom and even giving us a spot at their booth at E3. I had a pleasure to visit them a few times in Edmonton and also host them in our Warsaw office. Very sad for the people affected, but also sad to see a legendary brand go down. Not a great day in the games industry.

“go to hell” is basic. “i hope you get into bioware rpgs super late, EA gets sold to saudi arabia less than a year later, and then bioware is shut down completely and mass effect 5 is canceled" is smart. it’s possible. it’s terrifying. it's happened to me.
can one of you gaming goofs decompile ssx for the xbox 360 instead of like a dumb game nobody plays like billy hatcher @Themax1222
