In NYC-DSA's democracy, electeds and members are equals. I'm proud to organize with Groundwork and run on their slate for convention this year.
GW is committed to growing DSA into an org as multiracial and powerful as the World's Borough. Vote Groundwork by midnight tonight!

By the way, for all the people who say its okay to concede on trans women in sports because it "only" impacts a few hundred people:
Over 150,000 trans people depend on Medicaid. For medically necessary treatment, not a hobby. Is that a high enough number for you to care yet?

At B&R’s 2026 convention, we voted to join the draft for and support an AOC presidential campaign. We believe her campaign has the potential to build the labor movement, the student movement, and DSA.

AOC: For a very long time, “working class” was a euphemism for race and gender. And it was really about a very specific and only one slice of the working class.
And we are talking about the actual working class in this country—people working, trying to put food on the table, put their kids through school, and, if they’re lucky, be able to save up for a rainy day.
But increasingly, people are not able to do that. And I think that there is no discussion about the working class unless you are talking about all of the working class in America, which is a multiracial working class.

Chris Rabb: “I’m a decarceration person, I believe the country that represents 5% of the world’s population, but 25% of the people put in cages is morally wrong, but I will make an exception for all of those fuckers who are lawless MAGA thugs who have destroyed lives and communities. Lock all of those fuckers up. If there are moms who are going to jail because they changed what school district they are so their kids could get a better education, you better believe a Jared Kushner should be experiencing some jail time”

Incredibly honored to have been part of the small team that made this happen. I had the chance to go into the archives to gather the evidence of NAM merging into DSA. I held the ballots in my hands and counted each one.

A specter haunts the left...
"'Hegemony'", said the authors of Hegemony and Socialist Strategy, "will be not the majestic unfolding of an identity but the response to a crisis."
And with this, a door had flung open, and a draft blew into the spartan interior of political Marxism—a structural wound that generations of theorists have tried in desperation to bind shut, with fraying intellectual materials; whatever they had laying around.
But there is a reason the book remains the left's bogeyman. Its stubborn propositions continue to describe reality, as well as the real movement to abolish its oppressive fabrications, well beyond what the old schemas were capable of.
It is time, therefore, to revisit the book. The one you were told to stay away from. The one that could still save the world, if we bother to read it again.
Join Geese Magazine for a 5-week study of this great book, hosted by Sergej Seitz, political philosopher and scholar of post-structuralist theory at the University of Vienna.

We don't have to cook the books to show you how the Trump admin is making life unbearable for workers right now:
Rent, gas, & healthcare are unaffordable but the White House has plenty of cash for war & genocide.
Workers deserve more than this White House could ever deliver.

The Democratic Socialists of America’s electoral project is ascendant. But as the organization grows, so does a strange problem: candidates within DSA running against other candidates endorsed by DSA. In her latest, Roxanne R. argues that to maintain electoral discipline and respect democratic deliberation, it is necessary to stop the spoilers.
