One of the biggest pieces of evidence against the idea that Israel is interested in peace is their refusal to free Bharghouti. If they really wanted Hamas gone they would just let Palestinians have free and fair elections which would end in Hamas being wiped out politically

Worth noting: the early Bolshevik party was full of nudists, sci-fi writers, vegans, Esperantists, believers in life-extension and “the electrification of the human soul.” Most popular depictions of the USSR focus on the post-Stalin period so this is often forgotten.
