It's just so pointless. Killing a character for the sake of killing a character. "We need someone to die here." "Why?" "Because I want someone to." "Alright, Lady Liadrin, you're up. That's a wrap." There's no grand spectacle. Even the enemies they're fighting seem to come out of nowhere. Everyone else is perfectly fine, and they don't even seem to realize what's happened. This is a character who's been with players for twenty years. She was introduced back in version 2.0, and she's been at the forefront of practically every storyline involving the blood elves. And this is the ending she gets. She really would've been better off staying in Stromgarde. A character's death can be an incredible opportunity to elevate that character and give their story a powerful conclusion. But there's none of that here. Nothing. From what I've seen, the so-called "writers" have become this incompetent. They're entrusted with enormous IPs and characters who have massive fanbases, yet they treat them with such carelessness, such disregard, and such staggering arrogance. And the companies behind them are no better. Do you people even fucking want to make money?
