We see no indication from Russia that it wants to end this war, or pursue any form of truce or peace. That's why we need to help Ukrainians to get through winter and defend their country. Ukrainians need more air defence. And we need to increase pressure on Russia to make it clear that they have to negotiate. My doorstep ahead of today’s European Council meeting ↓

‘Russia is not the enemy‘ That's the message of a pro-Kremlin campaign targeting European audiences. Meanwhile, Russian state TV openly threatens Europe, while Moscow's hybrid operations target its infrastructure, institutions and security.

Vladimir Putin is targeting Ukraine’s civilians as his ground offensive falters, threatening to leave millions without heat, electricity and water this winter. Hamish de Bretton-Gordon argues that Britain and France should consider using their air power to help defend Ukrainian cities from Russian missiles and drones. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

If you are pro-peace, you must be pro-Ukraine. The only way to stop the war is to win the war. Russia must be defeated in detail. We need to return to a rules-based international order, not a power-based international order.
"Putin wants to destroy us. He doesn't respect us, our sovereignty and territorial integrity. He really thinks that we are not a country, not a nation," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday after joining EU leaders in Brussels.

This is truly a historic moment. President Trump has indefinitely suspended sanctions against Russia that would have been required in the Graham law. He went against the last request of Lindsey Graham, whom he called his friend. And he handed Putin the opportunity to finance the war against Ukrainians, who are fighting for their freedom. Trump calls this a "national interest." But diesel prices went up because of his war against Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. So waiving sanctions on Russia does not solve that problem. Instead, it creates another one. Putin cannot win on the battlefield, so he attacks civilians. Russian missiles and drones are destroying homes, hospitals, schools, and churches. According to the UN, just two weeks of October have been among the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine in recent years. Forty percent of Russia's budget goes to the war. After Trump's latest decisions, Russia will make record profits. The formula is simple: "Money turns into missiles. Missiles turn into civilian deaths." Trump is not stopping Russia's war against Ukraine. Trump is helping Putin win it. As a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, I want to address the people of America, regardless of their political views. Do you really believe that the killing of millions of people and the loss of Ukraine's independence are in your national interest? If not, what will you do to stop America from financing the genocide that Putin is waging against Ukrainians with Trump's support? #StandWithUkraine

Oh, so he backed down real quick when the fierce public backlash started really burning, just three weeks before the elections? This is exactly how you deal with people like him. Enough of kissing his ass and practically fainting at the mere prospect of having to endure another one of his raging tantrums because you dared to tell him "no." Let him get his fingers burned by public opinion and firm, decisive resistance from the leaders of the free world every single time. He doesn't understand any other language. All the appeasement and fawning over him, as if he were some problem child, only embolden him to walk all over the rest of us.
Q: If it wasn't you, then who gave the order for Starlink to go down in Ukraine? TRUMP: I don't know

Europe has stood by Ukraine since Russia started its war. And that is one of the reasons Russia has failed to achieve its goals. To end the war, we must pressure Russia, not Ukraine. Europe has the strength and influence to make a difference. My doorstep ahead of today’s European Council meeting ↓
