Russian Kosmos 2612 and ICEYE-X36 (providing Ukraine military support) are now in perfect sync with each other. The Russian military satellite is intentionally stalking and tracking the Western radar satellite. Keeping a satellite "bumper-to-bumper" in this manner allows Russia to intercept or jam data transmissions, physically inspect Western technology, or quickly pivot to execute a kinetic or non-kinetic anti-satellite (ASAT) attack with very little warning or fuel expenditure.
Kosmos 2612 executed a series of highly precise, fuel-heavy maneuvers to force itself into a "coplanar" orbit—matching ICEYE-X36's exact altitude (~555 km), speed, and inclination (~97.8°). The ICEYE-X36 satellite is giving the Ukraine military support.

The Triple Lock is outdated and no longer fit for purpose when it comes to peacekeeping
The legislation underpinning it was introduced in 1960, before the EU and OSCE even existed.
In @businessposthq, I shared my thoughts on the need for reform.

This article is just a puff piece with absolutely no substance
📍if a minister is repeatedly having to state in the media that they won’t be resigning, it’s a sure sign they are under significant pressure to do just that
‘I will not resign’ - Helen McEntee on political pressure, prioritising defence and having a personal life.

To put this in laymen's terms, Musk and Trump are now hobbling Ukraine's ability to protect its civilian population from a type of Russian drone that functions more like a cruise missile. This is not the United States adopting a neutral position vis-a-vis the war. This is the United States facilitating Russian terror.
Ukraine's Starshield terminals still don't work properly, President Zelensky confirms, disabling Ukrainian interceptors used to shoot down Russian jet-powered drones that have been hitting civilian targets in recent weeks.

If ever we needed a reason in Europe to build out critical infrastructure, this is it.
EU can’t continue to be dependent on Elon Musk or USA in vital areas like, communications, security financial payment systems.
We are vulnerable and must address this.

putin is a dictator and a war criminal. he has done more damage to the fate of his own nation than any major world leader in generations.
zelenskyy’s crime? the defense of his fellow citizens.
america’s allies understand this, every one of them.
president trump stands alone.
If you are pro-peace, you must be pro-Ukraine.
The only way to stop the war is to win the war.
Russia must be defeated in detail.
We need to return to a rules-based international order, not a power-based international order.

Good job, @jamesmatthewsky! That’s how it’s done.

If 🇬🇧 public are to be asked to prepare for war, should we in 🇮🇪 not be making our own preparations here?
⚠️ Any expectation that we can avoid significant consequences from 🇬🇧 entering a kinetic conflict with 🇷🇺, is naive

The mood in Ukraine is grim today. There's frustration and outrage here in Kyiv towards the Trump administration over what Ukraine's government, the troops and society believe is a deliberate attempt on the part of Washington to force Ukraine to capitulate to Russia – by withholding intelligence that allows early warning when Russian missiles are incoming, and cutting off Starlink to the military which needs it to strike and for defence against jet drones. These decisions cut intel sharing and restrict Starlink cost lives; at least 5 people killed in Kyiv, 6 more in Lutsk, dozens others badly injured.
NEW: Ukrainian troops have been caught off guard by restrictions on Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet systems that disrupted frontline operations, as Kyiv received no advance warning from its partners of a Russian missile attack on its energy facilities for the second day running, Ukrainian officials and troops tell @FT.

European countries should, at all costs, stop buying American military hardware. Any capable or sensible political leadership should be throwing the kitchen sink at our own procurement capabilities.
