Not again! I have NOT given my permission to be used in political adverts. This is NOT an endorsement by me in any way. I maintain strict party neutrality and am unhappy at the weaponizing of my reputation in this way.
While this isn't as bad as the first terrible representation – which said it this about tax - there's still a misdirection. As I’ve already stated, in that private conversation I was referring to Labour hoping to make a positive change I’ve been campaigning for, but it didn’t want to lock it in the manifesto as it can’t promise to deliver.
NO party’s manifesto tells the full story. ALL parties have things they hope to do but that aren’t in manifestos – as they can’t guarantee to deliver. The idea that Labour is an outlier for that is preposterous.
Labour's manifesto doesn't tell you the full story.
14 hours to stop the Labour supermajority.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Martin Lewis has confirmed he hasn't consented to the use of his image/video for political campaigns and its use in the context is misleading

Thousands of young trees perish each year in the vital first few months of planting.
New Irish tree planting guide, Your Tree Planting Companion, covers selecting the right species, type of soil required, digging the hole and onwards to proper aftercare.

A brilliant human scarred by a scandal in which she was found to have done nothing wrong. Because being cleared is never as famous as being accused.
She was kind and good and better than most of us. And she improved the lives of thousands of children. theguardian.com/society/2024…

New Year’s Day talk @brucecastlepark with @TottenhamTrees. Discussing how to read old tree landscapes by recording their fungi & beetles. Decaying wood associated species are hard to find & ID but they are the hidden key to unlocking the secrets of #WoodPasture.

On Sunday I will be talking about why too many urban trees are felled. Risk averse management, bad development, subsidence, greed and poor #arboriculture.

🌳 IT is generally & increasingly acknowledged that tree canopy cover is a good thing. But unlike chainsawing, it can’t happen overnight. Perhaps in 20 years’ time ‘tree coverage’ in our Borough will increase. But the medium-term outlook is for steady reduction in urban greening.

ALT Page 14 from last year's Election Manifesto of the council Majority Group. Big and old trees have survived adverse conditions, often for 100 years or more. A significant proportion of new tree plantings do not survive long and are not replaced. This is not acknowledged in the tree planting announcements. Sadly, street trees are the council's Cinderella service.

I visited the Oakfield plane to witness @haringeycouncil taking the urban warfare component of the war on nature to a whole new level. 8 security guards ringing the fencing & guard platform up in the tree: jaw dropping to see this Orwellian & destructive waste of taxpayers money

New tree planting is only part of the answer. Preserving existing trees is the other part, creating local groups dedicated to the care & protection of all trees in their community is also another, as brilliantly set out by @JustPlaneNews.
Finishing this month's Tree of the Month (2/2) - Giant Sequoia - looking how fast they grow with these google maps pictures from a tree planted by the Ranelagh pub, Bounds Green. Pictures in 2014 and in 2022. #HaringeyFavouriteTrees
Finishing this month's Tree of the Month (1/2) - Giant Sequoia - with a look at a group of 3 trees in the Oliver Tambo Recreation Ground. #HaringeyFavouriteTrees
Giant Redwood our tree of the month has red, spongy bark. This protects it from the fires that can sweep through its native range. Go up to a tree and give it a gentle punch. #HaringeyFavouriteTrees
... and here is picture of mature Wellingtonia cone (yet another name for the Giant Sequoia), December's Tree of the Month. The "lips" even more obvious. #HaringeyFavouriteTrees
Giant Redwood (another name for the Giant Sequoia), December's Tree of the Month - large female cones - with "lips" like all the redwoods. #HaringeyFavouriteTrees
Giant Sequoia, December's Tree of the Month - two trees in Alexandra Park in today's snow. Spot the mini Monkey Puzzle at the base. #HaringeyFavouriteTrees
