@NetworkRailEC @CatherineWest1 Filming at New River Hornsey where there's mass tree felling going on along the track. Residents are horrified.
It's not going well is it @networkrail ?
Will this scorched earth approach go all the way to Finsbury Pk?

Why keeping one mature street tree is far better for humans and nature than planting lots of new ones theconversation.com/why-keep… via @ConversationUK
A reprieve until 11 Dec! But the trees future - and the precedent it would set - is not safe as yet.
We need to keep building the legal fund to secure our mature trees. Please continue to donate and support 🙏🏽

Lovely short film by @j_syz on our knife edge campaign to try to save the Oakfield Plane tree. @WoodlandTrust @BBCLondonNews @HamandHigh @BristolTreeFora @SaveSheffTrees @STRAWPlymouth @haringeycouncil @mikehakata @perayahmet @paulpowlesland @TreesforStreets @CatherineWest1
Help stop the chainsaws. Oakfield tree we’ve protected for 18 months is due to be felled this Thursday by unscrupulous insurers who don’t care about the Climate emergency. We need mature trees.🌳
Please share & help!

We urgently need funds to help save our test case 120-year-old Plane Tree. But time is running out.
The council plan to fell the tree next week on 23rd Nov but we need to stop it.
Please share our fundraiser as widely as you can and donate!

Still no convincing answers to why a healthy 80-yr willow tree was felled in @StaionersPark in Haringey -next to tennis courts being redeveloped🤔Incrementally we are losing mature trees all over London. @STRAWPlymouth @BristolTreeFora @wellywag @BBCLondonNews @haringeycouncil

PLEASE HELP US SAVE THE FAMOUS OAKFIELD ROAD PLANE TREE. Share this and email those below. We have to stop:
Home insurers implicating trees totally in damage to houses
Passing costs onto councils who capitulate and fell trees cos they're skint
We lose 1000s of healthy trees.

I know of two mature trees already felled in private garden in local roads. Chainsaws. Large trees, healthy. Why are people doing this when we're rapidly heading beyond 1.5degrees? #stopfellinggardentrees @SHIFTHaringey @treesgroup @CatherineWest1 @TreesforCities @HaringeyGreens

Despite @haringeycouncil growing attempts to undermine our group, our tree prof Jeff Duckett has 40 years exp. assessing trees, his report here. He is considerate and we trust his view. Something wrong happened in the handling here and it wasn't the tree.
@CatherineWest1 @mikehakata @perayahmet veteran willow felled in Stationers PK on Sat morning as residents looked on horrified. Have asked for arb reports but none forthcoming.
Tennis courts are due for refub next to tree🤔

Tree vandalism is a real thing @mikehakata @perayahmet exactly why we have to maintain/preserve the trees we have already. Young trees need loads of care, watering, protection. Where's the cash to look after thousands of new trees? @Clive_Carter @StroudGuardians @SHIFTHaringey
