TokenLabs Validator Node Updated ✅
Our validator is now running the latest v1.32.1 on the #IOTA Mainnet, ready for Protocol Version 36
Validators can commit a block once they already agree. A frozen smart-contract account can no longer approve a transaction, as sender or as the account paying gas. A normal wallet is not affected

🗳️ Tokenlabs Governance: Community Vote Status on the Virtue Incident
At Tokenlabs, decentralization, immutability, and blockchain fundamentals are not theoretical concepts: our community comes first and holds the final say. That is why we placed the decision regarding the scenarios proposed around @Virtue_Money directly into the hands of our members
The interim result is clear and decisive:
• Plan C (Constructive abstention / Aligning with network consensus once the threshold is reached): 39 votes (90.7%)
• Plan A (Position rebuild): 2 votes (4.65%)
• Plan B (Net value compensation): 2 votes (4.65%)
Our Position: Responsibility, Prudence, and Network Alignment
We fully recognize the complexity of this incident and the urgent need to find a viable, fair resolution for all affected positions while preserving confidence in the entire ecosystem
Given the weight of this precedent, our community has chosen the most responsible path: Plan C. As a validator, our duty is to avoid tipping the scales prematurely. We will maintain an active abstention, committing to cast our vote in alignment with the broader network consensus once the validator set reaches the required threshold

On a decision of this weight we do not want the picture of a few votes.
We want the picture of the whole community.
This is not a purely technical decision.
It is about fairness and legitimacy: how the affected positions and the restricted assets should be handled.
And it is about the fundamental question of how immutable a ledger remains.
We need the community’s voice.
Plan A (virtue)
Rebuild each of the 45 positions from the last clean snapshot (IOTA collateral, original VUSD debt).
Plan B (virtue)
If the proposal fails or assets are insufficient, Virtue pays the pre-liquidation net value in IOTA.
Plan C (added)
We abstain until the required threshold is reached — stay in consensus, no premature vote.

One of the core responsibilities of validators is to protect the network. That is exactly what happened over the night.
Following the security incident disclosed by Virtue, validators coordinated quickly.
Within a short window — overnight, during a weekend, and inside half an epoch (481) — 62.27% of voting power (33 validators) already supported the measure that froze the attacker’s addresses, at least for now. The objective was containment: limit further damage and preserve room to respond.
What happens next will depend on the remediation process and the investigation. This step was not a final settlement. It was a necessary emergency action so the network could still act while the facts were being established.
That level of coordination, at that speed, on a weekend, is a useful signal. On @iota, validators are not only running servers. They are exercising their role in network security.
Regarding @Virtue_Money, we are waiting for a clear explanation of how remediation will proceed. From our perspective, this freeze can only be a temporary measure. It is there to make a proper investigation possible without the damage spreading — not to stand in as a lasting solution.
