At Arkeshwara Temple in KR Nagar, mosque and cross symbols were painted and later erased on the Tahsildar’s orders. According to Aarati, the temple in-charge, a senior official had reportedly instructed them to keep the symbols in the name of communal harmony.
But why promote such symbolism in a Hindu temple? Why isn’t the same gesture of communal harmony shown in mosques or churches?
The anti-Hindu Congress government is hurting Hindu religious sentiments and betraying Hindu interests. The people of Karnataka deserve accountability and equal respect for their religious beliefs.

India’s Kaveri engine is more than an engineering project—it represents the country’s ambition to build its own advanced military aircraft engines. Despite decades of technical challenges and delays, the programme has helped develop critical expertise in indigenous propulsion technology.
Although the Kaveri has not powered the Tejas fighter in operational service, its technology could contribute to future projects, including unmanned combat aerial vehicles and next-generation aviation systems. Developing a reliable jet engine remains one of the toughest challenges in aerospace engineering, requiring advances in materials, cooling, combustion and turbine design.
The Kaveri story is ultimately about India’s pursuit of defence self-reliance. Can the lessons learned from this programme help India build the engines that power its future fighters and stealth drones?

#WATCH | Delhi: Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri says, "We awarded a total of eight contracts to successful bidders in the Special Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Bid Rounds 2025 and 2026. This marks a renewed push in the unconventional gas segment. India's coal bed methane resource base is estimated at around 2,600 billion cubic metres (BCM). We also unveiled the India Hydrocarbon Outlook 2026 today, which provides a strategic map of our policy initiatives and emerging sectoral opportunities. This publication aims to promote transparency and support informed investment decisions."
He further says, "As domestic oil production is concerned, let me tell you that Modi ji's government has done something that no government anywhere in the world has done. We have opened up one million square kilometres of our 3.5 million square kilometres of sedimentary basins. This area of one million square kilometres used to be designated as a no-go area. Today, it is open for exploration. In the previous rounds, up to OALP Round 9, I think around 75 percent of the bids came from this area. Now, with OALP Rounds 10 and 11, I think almost 100 percent of the bids will come from there. As far as 2025–26 is concerned, India's upstream sector recorded one of its most active years in recent decades, with 674 wells drilled, comprising 131 exploratory wells and 543 development wells. This reaffirms our commitment to translating geological potential into productive national assets. I also believe that Modi ji's government has done something that no other government anywhere in the world has done. The Samudra Manthan Yojana involves making government resources of up to ₹84,700 crore available for drilling approximately 150 wells over three years... Overall, in the ongoing OALP Rounds 10 and 11, we have offered more than 2.96 lakh square kilometres of acreage, reflecting the government's commitment to expanding exploration across India's sedimentary basins. When I say that ₹84,700 crore has been made available, what does that mean? It means that the government is incentivising the private sector to invest. All I can say is that, after many years of neglect, we are moving towards a much more intensive and, I believe, successful exploration and production (E&P) phase..."
