A Supreme Court judge exposed Maharashtra’s schools. At least, that’s what the headline sold you. Kumbh became the villain. Schools became the victim. Perfect outrage. Except for one problem. The full story. Sitting SC Justice P.B. Varale. Cited ₹34,000 crore linked to Nashik Kumbh. Then came the punchline. Just 0.1%. Roughly ₹32 crore. Enough to save ~100 Marathi schools. Powerful line. Fantastic headline. But is it the full truth? Let’s fact-check it. Because judges deal in evidence. And evidence can be inconvenient. First, the famous ₹34,732 crore. Sounds enormous. Except... It isn’t ₹34,732 crore for tents and pujas. ~85% is permanent infrastructure. ~51% for roads. ~8% for bridges and flyovers. ~9% for institutional buildings. ~15% is temporary. That’s roughly: ₹29,500 crore in permanent assets. ₹5,200 crore in temporary works. What survives after Kumbh? Roads. Ring roads. Bridges. Flyovers. Water systems. Sewerage. Electricity. Transport. Parking. Digital networks. Security systems. Ghats and riverfronts. The Nashik Ring Road also links towards: Samruddhi Mahamarg. Vadhvan Port corridor. Chennai–Surat corridor. Kumbh is the deadline. Nashik keeps the infrastructure. Now the second headline. “Marathi schools are closing.” True. But why? Maharashtra’s 2026-27 Education Budget? ~₹1.08 lakh crore. 10% higher than 2025-26. Spending isn't disappearing. It is rising. Now Maharashtra's schools: ~1.08 lakh schools. ~2.13 crore students. ~7.48 lakh teachers. UDISE+ says: 99.8% have drinking water. 99.6% have functional water. 96.6% have girls’ toilets. 94.9% have electricity. 82.5% have computers. 72.1% have internet. Perfect? No. I expect 100%. But here comes the missing number. 255 Marathi-medium schools closed in two years. Why? Parents increasingly prefer English-medium schools. That changes everything. The problem isn't simply ₹32 crore. Demand itself is shifting. Over roughly four years: 624 Marathi-medium schools closed. Sounds terrible. But during roughly the same period: 426 English-medium schools were added. Schools aren't simply disappearing. Parents are choosing differently. And low-enrolment schools still need teachers. Infrastructure. Recurring expenditure. Meanwhile, Maharashtra already has thousands of single-teacher schools. So what makes sense? Keep every emptying school alive? Or move resources where children are? That is the real debate. Not: Kumbh versus children. And yes. Maharashtra deserves criticism. Fix single-teacher schools. Fix accessibility. Fix connectivity. Fix unsafe buildings. Take every metric to 100%. Ask brutal questions. Demand brutal answers. But use the complete dataset. Democracy isn't about finding a villain every morning. It is about finding the truth. Question the government. Question the opposition. Question the media. And yes. Question a judge too.

This post will upset many people. I know that. But sometimes, the uncomfortable question is the one we need to ask. Hindus are being divided into smaller and smaller identities. And strangely, most Hindus don't even realise it is happening. For decades, politicians and political parties have been quietly changing the boundaries between caste, tribe, religion and reservation. Look around. ST identity is increasingly discussed separately from Hindu identity. Muslim communities already exist within several OBC lists. Then there is another unresolved battle. Should Dalits who convert to religions outside those presently covered by the Scheduled Castes framework continue to receive SC status? These may look like separate debates. One here. Another there. Another somewhere else. But put them together. The picture starts looking very different and dangerous. I see a much larger political transformation happening. And now comes delimitation. The proposed model takes the Lok Sabha from 543 seats to 816 seats. Think about that. That is a massive restructuring of India's political arithmetic. I am not saying delimitation itself proves my argument. I am saying watch carefully. Because demography is changing. Caste equations are changing. Religious identities are changing. Reservation equations are changing. And political representation will change too. All at the same time. That deserves attention. Because India has seen identity politics redraw geography before. We have already seen Partition. Religion became central to political mobilisation. Then came the division of Bharat. And long before that, this civilisation had already watched territories break, kingdoms disappear and political boundaries change repeatedly. So maybe we are asking the wrong question. The question is not simply: Who wins the next election? The bigger question is: What exactly will "Hindu" mean politically and demographically 20 years from now? And please understand something. My concern is not somebody choosing another religion. That is individual freedom. My concern is something else. It is the political reconstruction of identities, that we are soldifiying as needed by our colonisers. First caste. Then tribe. Then sub-caste. Then separate religious identities. Then electoral coalitions around every fragment. Slowly, a civilisation becomes a collection of competing administrative boxes. And history teaches us something uncomfortable. A civilisation rarely understands that it is weakening while the weakening is actually happening. The danger outside is easy to see. The danger inside is much harder. Our epics and Sanskrit political literature repeatedly speak about "भेद". Division. Faction. Internal betrayal. People who appear to stand with you, but whose interests may be somewhere else. And that is why knowing the real adversary is difficult: "Shatrubodh" Sometimes the person you consider your protector may be pursuing a completely different interest. Sometimes the person celebrated as today's hero may look very different when history writes the final chapter. That is where awareness becomes important. Stop assuming every politician speaking about Hinduism represents Hindu civilisational interests. Stop assuming every organisation carrying a Hindu label necessarily wants the same future you want. And stop assuming every threat must come from outside India. Foreign powers will pursue their interests. Of course they will. That is what countries do. The real question is much closer to home. What are we allowing to happen inside our own house? Because outsiders can exploit our divisions. But they cannot manufacture every division without people inside participating in them. So before asking: "Who is attacking us?" Ask something much more uncomfortable. "Who benefits when we stop seeing ourselves as one?" Maybe knowing that answer is the real battle.

That shows how invisible caste discrimination has become.” Student: “Most of my classmates don't even know my caste.” Humanities Department: “Exactly. That shows how deeply caste operates subconsciously.” Student: “My professor didn't even know my caste.” Humanities Department: “Exactly. That's structural Brahminism. Individuals don't need to know.” Student: “My friends come from different castes. Nobody really cares.” Humanities Department: “Exactly. That's how caste privilege normalises itself.” Student: “Students from every category study, eat and work together here.” Humanities Department: “Exactly. That's how structural discrimination hides behind apparent equality.” Student: “But where is the evidence of caste discrimination?” Humanities Department: “The absence of evidence shows how sophisticated the discrimination has become.” Student: “Okay. What evidence would prove that caste discrimination did NOT happen?” Humanities Department: “That question itself demonstrates caste privilege.” Beautiful!!! Well Done India!!! 👏

Not 100. Not 200. Just 40. But don't worry. We ordered the next one. Mk1A ordered: 180. Delivered to IAF: 0. HAL has built 27 airframes. Delivery still awaits final integration. India's 5th generation fighter. Its initial version is planned around again America's GE F414. New aircraft. New PowerPoint. Same engine dependency. Tejas is not the scandal. Tejas is an engineering achievement. The timeline is the expose. Four decades of approvals, technical failures, shifting deadlines, production bottlenecks and dependence. India never lacked ambition. India never lacked engineers. India never lacked committees either. What we lacked was political will and professionalism. Perhaps our greatest innovation wasn't teaching Tejas to fly. It was teaching urgency to sit quietly in a government file. For 43 years. And counting.

If we compare every category separately: General Category has the highest number. Sixteen. But somehow that number did not deserve the headline. Apparently, some deaths need caste labels. Some deaths can remain in the background. Are those 16 students less human? Did their parents cry differently? Was their mental health less important? This is exactly how narratives are built. You don't always need to lie. Sometimes you just highlight one number. And quietly hide another. The Constitution begins with equality before law under Article 14. Article 15 prohibits discrimination on grounds including caste. Yet even a student suicide is now presented through selective caste arithmetic. SC student dies. National debate. ST student dies. National debate. OBC student dies. National debate. General-category student dies. Not even a footnote. 45 young Indians died. That should have been the headline, TimesNow. Not 28. Not 16. Not SC. Not ST. Not OBC. Not General. 45 students of Bharat. If we cannot even mourn children equally, perhaps the problem inside our country is much deeper than we think.

Of course, Minister saab. Build the next Intel. Build the next Qualcomm. Keep expanding reservation. Pretend every campus problem is solved. Call every merit question “sensitive.” Then watch bright students leave India. Was this part of the Free Trade Agreement? Let caste fights grow on campus. Let IITs spend time on legal battles. Let professors first check CCTV. Then witnesses. Then lawyers. Then maybe discipline. Make following rules a personal risk. Turn every crisis into a committee. Let researchers document survival. Let IIT directors learn crowd control. Let professors learn, “Don’t get involved.” Let students learn protest management. Product management can wait. Let coaching centres run the real race. Curiosity can stand outside the gate. Let politics enter the classroom. Let fear enter the faculty room. Then ask the same campus to build deep tech. Brilliant plan, Minister saab. Intel loading. Qualcomm loading. Location: probably Vietnam.

A citizen may ask about jobs, schools and hospitals. Remind him of his caste, religion or language often enough, and the questionnaire changes.

Our professors are very motivated today. So motivated, they may leave India. Foreign universities must be smiling. IIT Bombay may have turned doubt into an exit plan. Very effective Faculty Development. Do your duty. Catch alleged cheating. Report it. Then face an FIR. Face dismissal. Face protests. Face social media. Face television. And maybe renew your passport. Congratulations, Bharat! Once we built Takshashila. We built Vikramashila. We built Vallabhi. Scholars once came here to learn. Now our scholars may leave to survive. That is progress. Wow 👏 And beneath all this madness: A 20-year-old student is dead. That is the real tragedy. As a parent myself, that pain is unimaginable. No parent should get that call. Our system ensures that professors, students and parents suffer. Not prosper. Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla was the invigilator. He reported the alleged malpractice. Hours later, an FIR followed. The legendary SC/ST Act. Doolla lost his administrative position. The investigation is still running. Read that again. Investigation is running. But reputation does not wait. Google does not wait. Social media definitely does not wait. One photograph. One FIR. One hashtag. 30 years of academic work can become a footnote. Beautiful motivation for teachers. Now imagine being a professor tomorrow. You catch cheating. What do you do? Report it? Maybe. First check the CCTV. Call three witnesses. Inform the Dean. Call your advocate. Call your security. Perhaps call your MLA. Because education now needs risk management. Now this is called “defensive decision making.” See cheating? Look away. See trouble? Forward the email. See conflict? Form a committee. Never own the problem. Soon the university becomes perfectly safe. Because nobody does anything. Research? Later. Innovation? Dangerous. Leadership? Why invite trouble? Just teach. Take salary. Go home. Imagine the recruitment advertisement. Wanted: IIT Director. Qualifications: Brilliant academic. Global researcher. Excellent administrator. Now teachers of Bharat will not see a student. He will first see the caste. The student may see the professor the same way. The smartest professor has options. Foreign university. Private research. While their own children are settled abroad. 🤦 Maybe we all are trapped inside this deadly machine called Beureaucracy. If there is discrimination, stop it hard. If a student needs help, give it early. If a professor is falsely accused, act just as firmly. Otherwise, forget Viksit Bharat. Forget Vishwaguru. First build a campus where students and teachers can both survive.

That contract has expired. Washington is retreating. European trust in the American umbrella is gone. Europe is being forced to rediscover military power. And the timing is brutal. Growth is weak. Energy is expensive. Budgets are strained. Politics is fragmenting. And hence, creating Putin, the Bogeyman suits Europe. We are watching the old European order die. The welfare state is becoming a military state. America is stepping back. Europe is arming. Russia is watching.

India is finished. That was the prediction. Oil would choke India. The rupee would bleed. Petrol pumps would burn. Except something strange happened. The world started sweating. India remained unusually cool. Not untouched. Not comfortable. But definitely not panicking. Almost annoyingly calm. While giants wrestled with oil shocks… India kept shopping. Discounts here. New suppliers there. A shadow tanker rerouted somewhere else. Almost like Delhi had seen the movie before. But this is not magic. There is a story behind it. And that story begins in 2015. India was dangerously exposed. Too much oil came through familiar corridors. Strategic storage was still unfinished. Supply options were painfully narrow. Then Delhi started moving pieces. March 2015. Modi’s CCEA approved ₹4,948 crore. The mission was simple. Build emergency crude reserves. Then widen the map. India once sourced energy from ~15 countries. Today, it sources from ~41. Africa entered. America entered. Brazil entered. Guyana entered. Russia entered bigger. Then came 2016. HELP changed exploration policy. Then came OALP. India started opening exploration plot aggressively. Today, 172 blocks cover 3.78 lakh sq km. Then came 2022. Russia invaded Ukraine. Oil markets exploded. Sanctions arrived. “Experts” prepared India’s obituary. India read the price sheet instead. Russian crude came discounted. Indian refiners bought it. Refineries adapted. Suppliers multiplied. Routes changed. The barrels kept moving. Sometimes under Light. Sometimes under shadow. Then came 2026. Hormuz came under pressure. The Red Sea became dangerous. Brent crossed $100. Then look at the pumps. Germany diesel? Around ₹272. American diesel? Around ₹164. Delhi diesel? ~ ₹95.20. Not untouched. Not invincible. But remarkably insulated. That is the real game. India became harder to choke. And while critics keep announcing India’s funeral… India keeps negotiating freight rates. One route blocked? Arre, doosra dekh lenge. One supplier expensive? Bhai, next quote please. One barrel sanctioned? Jugaad department activated. This is not panic. This is Indian procurement with chai. Discount milega? Deal hoga? Route milega? Oil aayega? The obituary is ready. India forgot to die.

Washington is preparing Israel. And the pattern is clearly visible. It fits Washington's 2026 defence doctrine. Regional allies carry more burden. America supplies the strategic backbone. And the doctrine explicitly calls for strengthening Israel against Iran and its proxies. Now zoom out. Hormuz. Bab-el-Mandeb. Red Sea. Suez. Eastern Mediterranean. Energy arteries. Trade arteries. Military pressure points. Jerusalem is preparing itself to become new centre of Middle East. And something larger is changing. America is not be leaving. It is changing jobs. From regional policeman to security architect. Israel becomes the hard-power node on the northwestern flank. The Gulf becomes the centre. And from the east comes India. Arabian Sea. Gulf of Oman. Western Indian Ocean. India and Israel is already working deeply. So a new structure is emerging. Israel to the northwest. India to the east. The Gulf in between. America behind the architecture. And China is watching the arteries it cannot afford to lose. This is bigger than 40,000 bombs. It is about who protects trade. Who protects energy. And ultimately, who controls the energy architecture of the next world order. And that leaves one haunting question: Are these bombs preparing Israel for the next war... or preparing the battlefield for the next world order? A merchant company becomes an army. The army becomes a government. India becomes a machine to be exploited. After the 1857 revolt, Company rule collapses. The British Crown takes India directly. Britain finally leaves in 1947. But not before breaking India. The Empire disappears. But left its Ghost behind. And the United Kingdom survives. And here is what many forget: England ≠ United Kingdom. Wales was incorporated into England in 1535. Scotland joined England in 1707. Ireland joined in 1801. Most of Ireland left in 1922. Northern Ireland remained. Now watch the map. Scotland wants another referendum. Wales is now ruled by an independence party. Northern Ireland has a path to reunite with Ireland. Meanwhile Christian identification is falling sharply. So this is bigger than immigration. Bigger than religion. Bigger than one referendum. An empire once drew borders for others. Now its own borders are trembling. The question has returned home. Can the United Kingdom remain united? History has a strange memory. We call it Karma. “What you send into the world has a way of finding its way back.” Sometimes quietly. Sometimes violently. The Empire drew the map. Karma may redraw it. Jai Bharat! 😊

That is roughly 700 crore tonnes. And India is already holding 49.9% stake in Vostok Oil. So India is not merely standing at the petrol pump buying Russian crude. India is actually owning the part of oil-producing asset. Welcome to 2026. The old superpower playbook says: Pressure them. Threaten them. Make them fall in line. The new world seems to be replying: “Cute. We bought equity.” 😄 The world is changing. And apparently, the memo is still travelling to Washington.

The air in Delhi is tense. Modi's biggest pressure is not from Washington. Not from Beijing. Not even from the Opposition. The real pressure may be coming from within. From his own ecosystem. The patterns are harder to ignore. For years, Modi's strength came from performance. From ideology. From cult following. That made the party stronger. It made the RSS stronger. It widened electoral outreach. All powered by a committed voter base. That cult personality shaped his Cabinet too. For years, it moved in one direction. The direction Modi wanted. But look carefully today. That direction no longer feels as clean. Recent RSS statements sound alarming. They have raised eyebrows among old supporters. The language feels different. More accommodation. More moderation. More secular. More aligned with a Western narrative. The ideological centre feels shifted. Beyond ideology. Beyond repair. Perhaps even beyond Modi. Then look at policy. More supporters are asking one question. "Is this really a Modi policy?" Because some decisions look closer to UPA. I am no party member. I am not an RSS member. I am not interested in party politics. But I am concerned about Bharat. And the signals look clear. If you know where to look. Modi appears to move one way. Parts of the system pull another way. The bureaucracy. The political establishment. Coalition compulsions. Institutions. Economic interests. Sections of the ideological ecosystem. Perhaps even people inside government. The differences may be much deeper. Far deeper than the public can see. Because when a leader controls government. But struggles to control direction. Something strange begins. Policies contradict each other. Messages contradict each other. Supporters become confused. Old allies sound unfamiliar. The base starts fighting itself. Everyone blames everyone. And nobody knows where power really sits. That is what Bharat feels like. I see another pattern too. Forces seeking a unified India are being weakened. Faultlines are being reopened. Fragmentation is returning. Coalition-era politics is being normalised again. If that continues. Some powers may get what they wanted. A mission that, in my view, began after 2019. One man can hold back a wave only so long. Eventually, something breaks. We may be watching the last wall being dismantled. And if I am reading the signs correctly. The break may come before 2027.
