Maa Siddhidatri On the first day of Navratri, I wrote about King Suratha & the merchant Samadhi. Both knew what had happened to them, but their minds were still tied to the kingdom and family they had lost. Chapter 13 of Durga Saptashati brings us back to them. After their tapas, Maa appears & asks them to choose a boon. Suratha asks for his kingdom back. Samadhi asks for the knowledge which frees him from attachment to I and MINE. Maa granted both. Some of us are praying for what we lost to return. Some are praying to stop wanting it back. Perhaps the first siddhi is knowing which prayer is truly yours. Jai Maa Siddhidatri 🙏

There is one moment in Devi Mahatmyam which changes how we see the many forms of Maa. After Nishumbha is killed, Shumbha looks at Maa Durga & accuses her.. You are fighting with the strength of so many other Devis. Maa replies Ekaivāham jagatyatra dvitīyā kā mamāparā paśyaitā duṣṭa mayyeva viśantyo madvibhūtayaḥ I alone am here. Who else is there besides me? See.. all these are my own powers. Then Brahmani, Maheshwari, Kaumari, Vaishnavi, Varahi, Narasimhi, Aindri and the other Shaktis enter back into Her. And Maa stands alone. That one verse explains it.. the many forms of Devi are not competing Goddesses, they are her own vibhutis. If possible, read this passage from Durga Saptashati, Chapter 10 today.. or listen to her Mahatmya with attention. In Chapter 12, Maa herself gives the phala of listening to her Mahatmya on Navami.. protection from difficulty, daridrya, separation from loved ones and fear. Jai Maa Chandika 🙏

I am putting Nov 4-16 on record The Aug 12 Solar Eclipse happened at 25°48′ Cancer in Ashlesha. Mars reaches that exact degree on Nov 4 and crosses India natal Sun around Nov 8. India is under Mars-Rahu. On Nov 9, Amavasya falls in Libra, India 6H, under the aspect of Mars. then the pressure shifts to Leo. From Nov 12, Mars, Jupiter and Ketu gather in Magha in India 4H. Mars enters Leo that day, meets Ketu around Nov 15 and Jupiter on Nov 16. This is a serious period for internal order. A protest, pressure group may overplay its hand. Questions around money & support coming from outside India can move from political allegation to an official investigation. One financial trail, leaked message, document or statement by an insider may change the entire direction of the matter. I expect the government response to become much harder between Nov 8-16. Legal action, arrests, restrictions can follow if public order is challenged again. By mid Nov, the original reason for the protest may no longer remain the main question. People will ask..who organised it,who financed it & real objective behind that

Today belongs to Maa Kalaratri Her form is fierce because certain fears remain powerful only while we continue looking away from them. Those worshipping at home should keep the puja simple. Light a ghee diya & offer jaggery. Recite the Durga Dvatrimshannama Mala, the 32 names of Maa Durga. this is a nama stotra.. If one fear has been quietly influencing your decisions, name it before Maa today. Do not do any uninitiated tantra, mantra, Navarna bija practice, fire ritual after finding it online. The first protection Maa gives will come as the courage to stop cooperating with what has been harming you. Jai Maa Kalaratri 🙏

Maa Skandamata Today there is an interesting exchange.. Moon, the mother, is in Mars sign Scorpio while Mars, whose devta is Skanda, is in Moon sign Cancer. & Exalted Jupiter is with Mars & aspecting the moon.. a beautiful connection today as we worship Maa Skandamata. In the Shiva Purana, Kartikeya had been brought up by the Krittikas. Nandi came to take him to Kailash, where Shiva, Parvati & the devas were waiting for him. Nandi spoke of his divine birth, his coming coronation & the task of defeating Tarakasura. He also said that Kartikeya place was not among the Krittikas. Kartikeya reminded him about them. He called them wise yoginis and acknowledged them as his mothers, just as Maa Parvati was his mother. When he was leaving, the Krittikas fainted in grief. Kartikeya brought them back to consciousness and took them along to Kailash. When they arrived, Maa Parvati embraced her son. The Purana describes her seated with Kumara in her lap. Those worried about their child future, should offer 5 bananas & one red flower to Maa Skandamata. Keep the red flower at Maa feet. After the puja, give all 5 bananas to brahmin or nearby temple priest Jai Maa Skandamata 🙏🪷

Kapardisha Chaturthi + Anuradha Nakshatra Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga + Amrita Siddhi Yoga Mudgala Purana says Ashvine Varadatri Ya Chaturthi Shuklapakshaga Ashwin Shukla Chaturthi is Varadatri.. the Chaturthi which grants boons. The next verse calls its vrata Sarvartha Sadhakam.. capable of fulfilling all desires. There is another interesting reference in Skanda Purana. In Krita Yuga this form was known as Heramba, in Treta as Vighnamardana, in Dvapara as Lambodara & in Kali Yuga as Kapardin. The same chapter gives the prayer of Kapardi Vinayaka for Vighna prashamana.. removal of obstacles. If one sankalpa has remained unfulfilled even after puja, temple visits and remedies, take that sankalpa before Bhagwaan Ganesha today. Keep only one sankalpa. During Madhyahna, approx 11 AM - 12 PM Light ghee diya Offer 21 durva with the tips pointing towards you Offer a red flower and jaggery mixed with a drop of ghee. And chant the Ganapati Atharvashirsha or listen to the Kapardi Vinayaka Stotram, if possible Keep the mind and speech under control today. Avoid unnecessary arguments, gossip. Om Ganapataye Namah 🙏
