On this day, 1761, nearly 100K Marathas died on the battlefield of Panipat, giving it all for Dev, Desh and Dharma. Commanded by the valiant Sadashivrao Bhau, they shattered enemy formations, fighting ferociously with grit and valor against overwhelming odds.

The bankers hate the fact that the most valuable asset in current times in Indian households is outside their purview and greed. They will spin yarns. The silly influencers and SIP advisors will tell you the same. They will call ancestral gold merely a sentiment. Don’t listen!

Except for islands, no region is genetically homogeneous. Iran is a mix of Persians, Azeris, Kurds, Lurs, Baluch, Arabs, and Turkmen; Europe is a big blend of hunter-gatherers, Anatolian farmers, and Steppe herders. Racial homogeneity is a myth.
Europe and Iran are racially homogeneous societies unlike India.

Maharana Pratap’s strike on the Mughals at Dewair, Sambhaji Maharaj’s attack on Burhanpur, and Sadashivrao Bhau’s Kunjpura victory over the Afghans-all on Dussehra day.
What made the Rajput charge so fearsome? What gave the Marathas the audacity to challenge mighty Timurids? And why did the worship of Shakti occupy such a powerful place in their warrior traditions? My latest piece for @IndiaToday explores a forgotten dimension of India’s martial heritage: the sacred bond between the Goddess, the sword and the battlefield. For the Rajputs of Mewar and the Marathas of Swarajya, devotion was not the opposite of defiance. The worship of Shakti embodied the courage to resist, the resolve to fight and the refusal to surrender. From the martial traditions associated with the Khanda to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s veneration of Bhawani, the Divine Feminine occupied a place far beyond the confines of ritual. And this spirit did not end with the warrior kings. Generations later, revolutionary nationalists would invoke the Mother as Shakti in their struggle against British rule. Dussehra was not just a celebration of a mythological victory. It was a summons to courage. The Rajput sword. The Maratha Bhawani Talwar. The revolutionary’s invocation of the Motherland. Different struggles, different centuries, yet a recurring civilisational conviction: when the Mother calls, the warrior must rise. Read the full piece: indiatoday.in/opinion/story/…

With every major Indian industrial house now engaged in easy real estate flipping, innovation and research are rarer than hen’s teeth. Excessive taxation and currency depreciation worsen the situation. We Indian equity investors are doomed.
Taxes on FII like LTCG, Lack of AI play and Depreciating Rupee are few of the factors leading to FII exodus form Indian markets. You may get temporary reprieve of reverse AI trade but fact is structurally India does not offer much in IR 4.0 in the listed space. Also global macros are worseninng with conflicts, energy prices, bond yields rising making Indian markets less attractive. Its a sell on rise market now being managed for JIO IPO, basically retail is providing exit liquidity to FIIs. Realistically speaking global supply chains are breaking down from Fuel to Fertilisers to Food and ultimately Finance as well. Chinese just barred Solar Module tech sharing exports, Americans wont share Jet engine technology. Make in India is limited success in some sectors mostly in non listed space. So why should any one pay premium for investing in Indian markets when your top listed companies are of a bygone era. Yes reverse AI trade may give trading opportunities to make a buck but it doesn't change the fact that structural levers are lacking in listed space in India. This rise will be used by Promoters, PE investors to cash out in IPOs, FPOs & OFS. The global macro risks are too high to compensate for reverse AI trade thesis. Midterms, Iran war reignition, Energy, Inflation, rate hikes, Bond Yields, YCC, AI Bond (Debt of Hyperscalers) spreads blaring alarm bells of bubble pop on Horizon. One should be judicious with money in these times. Save over spend should be the mantra. Lend less and spend less.

Vitamin D strikes again... dropping cortisol by 41%. the sun is our oldest anti stress protocol.
1 year on vitamin D increased their testosterone and lowered their PTH. Vitamin D is not a vitamin, it's a steroid sun is the best source, D3 comes second.

Some less modern communities in Saurashtra don’t even have bank accounts, let alone wealth managers. They buy gold with cash and simply bury it in the soil.
Gold should be held closely by women. Don't let thieves calling themselves as asset managers or as economists con you into liquidating them.

The collective gold of Saurashtra’s Ahir, Bharwad, and Mer communities can easily buy several European cities or even some small countries.
#Rajkot witnessed a spectacular display of Ahir culture! 21,000 women performed traditional Ahirani Raas in traditional attire, adorned with an estimated 250 kg of gold jewellery. #Rajkot #AhiraniRaas

That's a ‘Surati meets Kathiawadi’ accent with none of the characteristic Kathiawadi sweetness. Forget her treatment, I wonder how her patients survive that accent!
There is a famous saying about Suratis in Gujarat- A Surati will look very attractive n decent till he keeps his mouth shut, the moment starts he speaking , he reveals his true character n upbringing. ( सुरती मोढू खोले अने पैसा पड़ी जाये । ) Listen here
