On Mahalaya, as the Devi is invoked and the season of light begins, we bring you news of a journey we have long waited to begin. Announcing Swamiji: the first-ever dramatised retelling of the life of the founding monk of modern India, Swami Vivekananda. He was a wandering sannyasi who walked the length of India with nothing but a staff and a question. In Chicago he stood before the world and began with “Sisters and Brothers of America.” He woke a sleeping nation with one call: Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached. This is his story, told as it has never been told before. It honours the devotion his life inspires, and it does not hide the struggles, doubts and fire that shaped him. More soon. Shubho Mahalaya. 🪔 [@grin_news ] [@KaulLakshmi ] #Swamiji #SwamiVivekananda #Mahalaya #ShubhoMahalaya #Vivekananda #IndianCinema #ComingSoon #ArisAwake #Bengal #DurgaPuja

In this article for @TheGlobalOrder, @Nishit_JNU, and I discuss India’s Great Nicobar Island Development Project and how it represents a calculated strategic masterstroke, transforming a long-neglected natural vantage point into a powerful asset at the mouth of the Malacca Strait. By establishing a world-class transshipment port and advanced capabilities right where Chinese shipping must pass, New Delhi not only secures its own economic interests but also gains quiet leverage over a critical maritime chokepoint that Beijing has long had apprehensions about. globalorder.live/post/india-…

#Benoy Kumar Sarkar (1887-1949) was a prominent Indian sociologist and political activist who made significant contributions to the field of international relations. In 1919, Sarkar authored a study in the American Political Science Review, presenting a "Hindu theory of international relations" that drew on thinkers such as Kautilya, Manu, and Shookra, as well as the text of the #Mahabharata. This theory was an attempt to construct an Indian vision of international affairs, taking into account the country's unique cultural and religious perspectives. Sarkar's work has been hailed as a pioneering effort in forging a non-Western approach to international relations. Benoy Kumar Sarkar was able to research and write in five languages - English, German, French, Italian, and his mother tongue, Bengali. During his lifetime, he wrote 53 books and monographs and was a committed nationalist heavily influenced by Sister Nivedita, the key disciple of Swami Vivekananda. His ideas of the basis of India's rise, both cultural, political, social, and economic, are more relevant than ever before. Global Order is proud to present the first Benoy Kumar Sarkar Memorial Lecture. This lecture is being given from London by Dr. Gautam Sen who taught international policy economics for more than two decades at the London School of Economics and who has written the introduction to Global Order's new #book introducing Benoy Kumar Sarkar's work. My analysis on Taiwan. The Republic of China needs to take some hard decisions on its policies in Asia. The rest of democratic Asia needs to do likewise.
In the midst of the aggressive approach of China, Taiwan may need to prepare for a possible crisis. What could be its implications on India, the Indo-Pacific and the international system? Ambassador (retd.) Prabhat Prakash Shukla @ppshukla explains. globalorder.live/post/taiwan…
