"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery; none but ourselves can free our minds".- Bob Marley Our generation must dare to dream and realize a better Kenya for our children, one free of tribalism, nepotism, corruption, and thuggish leaders. They deserve to inherit a better country, whose leaders serve them, not kill them.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
— George Santayana As we mark not celebrate Mashujaa Day, because there is nothing worth celebrating, let us not forget the Kenya our forefathers fought for, bled for, were jailed for, and many died for. It was for land and freedom yet the majority still have no land, and freedom of speech exists only in theory. A simple social media post can get you abducted by the state and murdered. Our grandparents fought for a Kenya where we govern ourselves, so that every person would have access to good schools and healthcare. It was so that we could enjoy the fruits of our land and better wages. It is not yet Uhuru. That is why in 2027 we will vote for a new Kenya where the dream of our forefathers will finally be realized.

Kenya has about 10,000 active licensed doctors serving nearly 59 million people. Our doctors are stretched thin, and millions of Kenyans depend on an already strained and underfunded public health system. I will employ all available doctors willing to serve in the public health sector and expand medical training by fully funding specialization programmes. These doctors will be required to serve a stipulated number of years in public hospitals, ensuring that our investment directly benefits patients who depend on the public health system. I will pay them well so they can focus on serving Kenyans in public hospitals instead of running parallel private practices to sustain themselves.

This is a gratitude post. I’m blessed. Took this selfie while out running in London this morning. I’m truly blessed. I have everything I need in my life: good health, a family that truly loves me, and a dozen or so close friends who would go to the ends of the world for me. I don’t need anything more. I have a wife, children, many books I intend to read, places I still want to visit, and good friends. I’m not running for president because I need to gain anything beyond what I already have. I want to help every child born poor in Kenya fulfil their potential. My dream is to realise the dream of our grandparents that everyone should have land, freedom, and access to good education and the best healthcare when they need it. I was born dirt poor, yet I have lived my wildest dreams. I want that for every Kenyan. I’m living at my best potential, and I want that for all Kenyans. I’ve created so many things and projects from nothing that it still amazes me how my mind works. I follow what my heart tells me, with everything I’ve got. I don’t fear failure, and I don’t suffer from bystander syndrome waiting to see what happens before I commit to something or support someone. Neither do I follow crowds like the wildebeest in the Maasai Mara, who blindly follow each other into the jaws of crocodiles in the Mara River or drown by simply jumping without looking. Don’t be a wildebeest! I’m running for the presidency to help fix Kenya. I’m only 43, and for now I’m happily delaying some of my dreams of travel, hiking new hills, reading, and sometimes writing. Still, whether I’m running for president or simply running somewhere in London, I remain blessed. Fall in love with yourself so that you can believe in yourself. If you work on yourself, your body which is truly your home will always be comfortable, and nothing the world can say or do to you will break you. Take a pause. Count your blessings. And if you’re not yet following your dreams, go for them. Just go for it. Najipenda. Jipende.

I look forward to today’s conversation at the political Baraza in Northampton. Next Thursday, I will be at SOAS University of London. In addition, two groups of Kenyan explorers in the United Kingdom have challenged me to a six-hour hike in Kent next Saturday. During my week-long visit to the United Kingdom, I will conduct media interviews and hold meetings with my campaign’s diaspora advisors and supporters. For further details regarding additional engagements, please contact my campaign office.

At Safari 7s, young people shared their vision for Kenya. They want a Kenya where they have jobs, women are safe, healthcare is accessible, and those who break the law, no matter how powerful or rich they are, are prosecuted. A Kenya where we are all equal before the law.

I'm scared we might lose this guy if we don't give him attention. Ezra was exposing the corrupt traffic police officers and blocking them from collecting bribes. He was arrested yesterday and taken to Juja Police station.
Ezra Gacheru was arrested yesterday, I wonder what crime he committed.

Kenyan politics is a constant act of masturbation and jerking off. You have to do clownish things and behave like a clown because Kenyans expect a circus. Failure to do so means you don’t get the attention, and in the circus of Kenyan politics, you will be ignored. If you can’t pull off a circus, splash money and it works much better. You buy respectability even if you have the intellect of a toilet fly that follows a coffin to the grave. So it’s basically a game of absurdity and money. That doesn’t mean all hope is lost. That’s why some of us are in politics: to make it about issues. Those who support me and other progressive leaders give me hope. I hope that our children will inherit a better country, one where, in their time, our politics will attract the very best, who will build a nation worth living in. Finally, Kenya is basically a poor ghetto with ghetto leadership that has an insatiable greed to accumulate power and wealth. We, the few hundred thousand middle-class Kenyans who have the privilege of a decent income, can take our kids to private schools, and afford private medical cover, are so scared of losing what we have that we are willing to compromise and sell our souls to maintain our comforts. My advice is that you don’t need to be in politics loudly. Quietly support change in your ward and constituency, and help save Kenya. Do civic education so that the average voter doesn’t vote blindly for money, tribe, or political party. The 2027 election is about saving Kenya, and if we fail to do so, we can kiss change goodbye. We cannot survive another five years of what is happening today. Happy Saturday!

This is a very disturbing acquittal. The four suspects admit to raping and robbing their victims. They basically bribed or perhaps intimidated the victims and told the court they had an out-of-court settlement. The two police officers will be back on patrol to continue terrorizing citizens. This acquittal is unacceptable and an insult to the rule of law. @katibainstitute @waikwawanyoike @WMutunga
Court acquits two police officers and two civilians accused of rape and robbery with violence, cites out-of-court settlement; DPP says suspects compensated victims.

Kenya police officers want better pay, better housing, and improved working conditions. They want promotions based on merit not because someone paid a bribe or is related to a senior officer. They want politicians to stop interfering in recruitment, where letters are handed out to politicians to distribute or sell. They want therapy for the trauma they face in the line of duty. They want to stop living in tin-roof shacks. They want Mr. Ruto to stop sending them to abduct and kill children. They want to stop being forced to work with goons to harm Kenyans who do not support Mr. Ruto, lawbreaker number one. Giving police officers new uniforms instead of implementing proper reforms is just Ruto applying lipstick on a corpse. It’s also foolish to use your daughter to steal, because when the time comes, your whole family will end up in jail and there will be no one left to visit you. It’s only a matter of time. What’s more sickening is that you expect the same police officers you’re exploiting stealing billions under the pretext of new uniforms while refusing to pay their overtime to protect you and your family.

The person who wanted George Muchai dead is known. Muchai was armed, as were the police bodyguards protecting him. One gunman killed four men, three of whom were armed. It was an assassination. This conviction of some random thugs is further proof that Kenya is a mafia state.
The killers of then Kabete MP George Muchai thought the darkness of the night would conceal their heinous acts. But as detectives retraced a chain of carjackings, robberies and abductions that preceded the shooting in 2015, the gang left behind clues that would eventually lead investigators to their hideouts. The killers’ mobile phones and, most significantly, the G3 rifle suspected to have been used to kill the politician and his three aides, were recovered in the home of one of the suspects. Why do Kenyan contractors love building humongous speed bumps? There is a KEBS standard for speed bumps KS 774:2000. Low-speed roads (0–10 km/h: height of 15 cm & a width of 2m. Higher-speed roads (45–60 km/h): height of 10 cm & a width of 5m. The width part is always skimped!

Don’t bother going to Karura this morning. E-Citizen is down. Was at Limuru Road earlier. And the KFS guys wait for you to piss away 40 minutes of your time to crawl in the epic jam from the main road to the entrance to tell you this. You cannot physically access the forest. All you can do is drive in and exit. If you’re wondering why there’s epic jam on Limuru road - that is why

Every human being has equal value. Every single one. At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored. No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed. What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity. Love and a little kindness. For everyone.
