This is what Elon's change to blocking will enable, people can quote your posts more easily as they're not blocked. Then you can't unquote it, and their followers have a nice convenient link to click on to abuse you

It was inevitable that the billionaire man child would eventually turn off our API access. It's been fun and this app has helped stop a lot of abuse. @TheBlockBot was the first shared block list app on Twitter created by me @oolon in 2013, just over 10 years ago!
Elon Musk has shown he has absolutely no interest in stopping abuse on this platform. In fact he actively encourages neo-Nazis to set up shop, allows them to get "verified" by paying him $8/month to get special access to abuse minorities. Which is why I say #BlockTheBlue always!
Yeah people who tried to sub when it was broken will need to do that. But that's a few hundred just before it went down. Generally that won't help :D
Done 900 for you so far today, so obviously back working again. It's been out of action for over a week I'm afraid - hence the slow uptake.
Blockbot down for maintenance! Actions table autoincrement id was an int, the table that holds all blocks etc, and the number of rows is over 4bn now... Hit the max allowed value! So re-creating the table w/bigint, will be down for 24hrs I'd guess. It's a 250Gb compressed table!
Will hopefully bring the service back up with a shiny new SSD, larger and a bit faster, by next week. Sunday/Monday. See you on the other side...
Currently down for maintenance, the popularity of @BlockTheBlue means we need a new SSD asap or the server will go pop. Will do this over the weekend, it will continue blocking for people already subscribed, until the copy happens!

It's a bit flakey at the moment - @BlockTheBlue is very popular so functions that update blocks are being scaled back to accommodate new users. Will hopefully stabilise before Musk turns us off :D
Eeek, this list has been so popular it's generated Gbs of database usage in just over a day ... Need to stop the service for a bit, make some space, then it will be back for sign-ups again...

Ha, @oolon here, looks like the "gender critical" mass reported one of my tweets. One referring to the horrific things they've said - appealed but @TwitterSafety are usually glacially slow
He didn't say any such thing Tom - if he had you'd be able to link it - but I've read all his tweets on the subject and he's solely calling for info from the other side.
