Pune metro 3 ( Pink line) has been added to the existing Pune Metro app.
The app did not auto-update, and I had to manually update it through the playstore.

Note for Line-1 passengers it will be easier to connect to Line-3 at Shivajinagar, once that station opens on Line-3.

Finally! After years of delays, Pune’s Hinjewadi–Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 is finally open… although some important stations around the IT hubs are still yet to open.
Many people from my team travel through this stretch regularly, and I keep hearing the same complaint, traffic, traffic and more traffic. Lakhs of people working in Baner-Hinjewadi section lose hours every week just commuting.
Some useful details:
• First train: 6 AM
• Peak frequency: every 5 min 30 sec
• Non-peak: every 10 mins
• Maan → District Court: ~45 mins
• Distance: 23.3 km
• Last train: 10:30 PM from Maan / 11:40 PM from District Court
So for anyone travelling to Hinjewadi regularly, this is a BIG deal. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.
Now let’s hope it actually takes some traffic off Pune’s roads :)

With EVMs, Congress loses by 11 AM.
With ballot papers, it loses by 6 PM. @Shrirang_P

You can finally take a metro from Hinjawadi to Pune Railway Station.
From there, you can take the Vande Bharat train to Mumbai, then take Mumbai’s Aqua Line 3 to the airport.
Then you can fly to Somalia and meet your future neighbours. Massive win for public transportation.
1 million years from now, the Somalian tectonic plate is going to collide with the Indian tectonic plate.
That collision will create an equally high mountain range like the Himalaya on the western coast.
Imagine being the first Somalian to trek up till Pune, only to see Hinjawadi metro still not inaugurated.
