‘MAGNATE’ ARRESTED FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING AFTER SALAMA PARK ACCIDENT By Mulenga Chipampe Makasa Suzyo Shawa, popularly known as Magnate, has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving following a road traffic accident involving a 19-year-old cyclist in Lusaka’s Salama Park. The 31-year-old, of New Kasama in Lusaka, was arrested following investigations into the accident, which occurred on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at around 17:30 hours on Ginger Street. The accident involved the cyclist and a Range Rover motor vehicle. In a press statement issued today, Zambia Police Service Public Relations Officer Chipo Kaitisha says Mr Shawa has been charged with dangerous driving, contrary to Section 155(1) of the Roads and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 464 of the Laws of Zambia. Ms Kaitisha says Mr Shawa is currently detained in police custody awaiting court appearance. #NewsOnTheGo

People on this platform said I am just a bitter person 🙌
I know everyone is innocent until they are proven guilty. However, for the sake of his reputation, entertaining someone who is facing child trafficking allegations may do harm to his reputation. Our President should be mindful of these small small things. We love him!

Every time you play the ‘privilege card’, always remember that for every privileged individual, there is someone in their bloodline who paid the price on their behalf. Let them enjoy in peace please!

His question would have still carried weight if he didn’t bring in the aspect of Mr Mwewa “never experiencing poverty”. Look, I don’t like people who try and make others feel bad about being privileged, thats just how life is. Someone can be privileged and still be a good person. I also love the fact that his answer was solid, society shouldn’t bend the rules just so a small section of people can feel better about themselves. Privilege is not a crime guys!
WATCH - “Mr Mwewa, do you have any sympathy for people, or is it because you have never experienced poverty yourself?”

When you’re putting in some hours at work then you remember when Hon Ball-Man said Zambians in the diaspora don’t do meaningful work, they just clean toilets 😩

What most young men don’t know is, women don’t carry dead weight, she’ll leave you at any chance she gets. Men on the other hand love unconditionally, she may have nothing to her name but that won’t affect the relationship. The day men learn to approach life with the same mentality, this world will come to its knees!

These are scary times for young men. There are men out there who don’t mind spending K10,000 on your girl. Just for fun. Now imagine if she’s not as disciplined as this lady, you’ll probably never even know about it. We will continue praying for you but for now, just focus on making money!
On Saturday my friend and I went on a date and this Congolese guy sent some girl to talk to me. Weirdly she was really trying to lure me into accepting the guy. Ati ‘he will buy you champagne and give you k10000 for appreciation.’ She really begged me. Hmmmm, Scary times. WTAF😭

My friend’s daughter hates her mother like crazy. Apparently when the two divorced, his ex did everything she could to prevent the girl from knowing her father. It appears she also told the girl some interesting things about her dad so she could grow up hating him. Over 12 years no contact until she was over 18 and made efforts to find her father. He says he invited her to his house for a week, never said anything bad about her mother and just allowed her to form her own opinion about the kind of man he was. She’s now a regular visitor. In his own words, she doesn’t want to have anything to do with her mother! A terrible outcome if you ask me. Why put a child through such pain when you know the father isn’t a bad person?

Chipo Mwanawasa reminds me of those individuals from wealthy families who take over family businesses and scale them to even greater heights. It takes a different level of intentionality, strategic thinking, and intelligence to build on what you inherit. Yes, you can be born into wealth, but sustaining it, growing it, and creating something even bigger requires personal effort, discipline, and competence. Inheritance may give you a head start, but what you do with that advantage is what sets you apart. @Chipokota’s growth is there for everyone to see and this elevation shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has been following her journey!

Sir, I have received a partial scholarship to pursue a Masters in the UK but I don’t have money to pay the rest of the fees. Me: Are you married? Him: No Me: You have a car and a plot right? Him: Yes Me: Flip all your assets and go to School, it’ll be a painful 9 months financially but you’ll recover everything when you graduate. Well, turns out he listened, graduated and is now working. One thing about me, I’ll tell you what you don’t want to hear but afterwards, you’ll see the importance of my counsel.

If this is your only rebuttal then it validates what I have been saying all along. Being young is not a passport to continue spewing hate and derogatory rhetoric. My point is plain and simple. People in the diaspora shouldn’t be the reason why your life is in a mess, they have their own battles. Why would someone’s success become your pain point?
Lastly, that behavior for being an adult who fails to fight people fighting him and looking for victims? don’t bring it here. We don’t know each other. Bye, done exchanging words with you.
