Having worked at @mcsoaz, this is nothing short of greed & corruption from the Monitor. They have no incentive to stop & continue disregarding the improvements @mcsoaz has made at serving the community. Kudos to @ThomasGalvin, the board & @Rachel1Mitchell for stepping up. Enough

The monitor has a financial incentive to continue his federal oversight.
The situation was put in place by someone who has three sheriffs ago. The system worked in the sense that the voters handled the situation. Not the federal monitor.
He has made over $30 million dollars off of Maricopa County taxpayers. Overall, it is expected to cost taxpayers $352 million dollars by the end of the next fiscal year.

Transparency is key. That’s what we expect from journalists, especially those who have covered our community for decades. But citing a PRR that was never submitted isn’t the definition of transparency & creates false narratives & confusion. Be better.
