No society can truly progress when children as young as 5 or 6 are roaming the streets begging for food instead of learning or playing. Parents, we must take responsibility, do not bring children into this world if you cannot feed, clothe, and educate them. Islam commands us to protect our families from harm and raise them with dignity (Surah At-Tahrim 66:6). The Almajiri system was meant for knowledge, not street survival. Northern governors: It’s time to enforce real bans on child street begging, integrate Quranic schools with basic education, and support struggling families. What is one practical step we can demand as communities and believers to finally break this cycle? Quote or reply with your thoughts.

Dr. Gbenga Hashim is our Hausa presidential candidate for 2027. Hausawa, see how a brother cares for his own! At the end of the day, your own is your own. We deserve dignity, respect, and our fair share of Nigeria’s political cake. He earned my support because he showed compassion when others were comfortable watching Hausawa being humiliated.

The war in Sudan must end now. All these criminals should be prosecuted.
Do not stop talking about Sudan.

The people screaming “Hausas lost their culture and their language is dying” are usually the same ones whose kids answer them in English or Pidgin at home. You abandoned your own language in the living room, then came online to lecture people who still live in theirs. That’s not observation, that’s projection.
I wonder what the Hausa culture looks like without Islam

They packed our boys into a cell in Minna like animals. No air. No water. No food. They banged on the door until their hands hurt. Nobody came. By morning, 37 were dead. Many were teenagers. NSCDC first said “disease.” Survivors say they were suffocating. That is not security. That is murder in uniform. I said this would happen. I said bandits eating our mining communities, a government that only shows up with raids, and a security system that treats poor people as disposable would one day produce a massacre — in the bush or in a cell. The first time I said it out loud, they threatened me with forced disappearance and jail. They told me to shut up. I did not invent the warning. I lived the pattern. Look at Niger State. Miners get kidnapped and killed at sites. Children leave school for gold because there is nothing else. Then the same state that cannot protect them from bandits locks them in a room until they die. Governor Bago now says he is only chief security officer “by mouth,” that federal agencies don’t report to him, and that the state was not even informed of the arrests. That is not humility. That is an admission that nobody is in charge of the lives of the people who live here. I am not celebrating being right. Being right cost 37 families their sons. Being right means the threats against me were never about “security.” They were about silence. The bodies laid out in Minna General Hospital are the proof they tried to bury. Do not tell us to stay calm while you investigate. Investigate who locked that door. Name every boy who died. Prosecute whoever walked away. Stop pretending another ban, another committee, or another press statement will fix leadership that cannot protect miners from bandits and cannot keep them alive in custody. I spoke then and they threatened to make me disappear. I am speaking now because 37 already did.

He and his family later beat the hell out of his wife, then threw her out and took the kids from her.
SHOTS FIRED!! Here's what happened: Abbas Haruna's wife alleged that he had been detained for about six years without trial, dating back to 2018. She made the allegation publicly on the Brekete Family programme, which generated significant attention. On September 16, 2024, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, ordered an investigation into the allegation. By September 21-22, the Defence Headquarters was publicly disputing the claim that Abbas had simply been illegally detained for six years. The military said there had actually been a General Court-Martial, and a video emerged showing Abbas resisting attempts by personnel to disarm/arrest him, with gunshots heard in the recording. The military subsequently explained that the underlying incident involved Abbas allegedly disobeying an order during a military parade, resisting arrest and expending 16 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. He was tried by a General Court-Martial from December 20, 2022 to February 7, 2023 and, according to the military, pleaded guilty to all three charges. The court sentenced him to reduction in rank and dismissal with ignominy. The Chief of Naval Staff confirmed the sentences on September 19, 2024.

The producer has been arrested. Now investigate the buyers. Anulika Onyeanusia admitted receiving dollar payments via WhatsApp for child sexual abuse material involving her 8-year-old daughter. Demand funds this crime. Anambra Police, NAPTIP, NPF cybercrime units and foreign partners: follow the payment trail and prosecute those who paid. Buyers are not bystanders. Protect the children. Follow the money.

The Congolese government should prosecute all those involved in the barbaric treatment of the woman.
@fatshi13 @PatrickMuyaya @hrw @UN_Women
