Yesterday, I was joined by the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Aviation, the MD of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the engineering teams from both the Ministry and FAAN. We appraised and approved the design of the Lagos Airport monorail that would take commuters and the flying public from the Ikeja Railway Station (where the Lagos Redline terminates) to the terminal point at the new Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Terminal 1 that is now being reconstructed.
There would be 5 stations/stops along the way, namely, Ikeja Station, Domestic Airport Station, Beesam Station, Toll Gate Station and MMI Airport Station.
The monorail is an integral part of the reconstruction of the nation’s major gateway at the MMIA in Lagos.

On Tuesday, Minister Toluwanisings was ministering at a worship concert in Ibadan. Less than 24 hours later, he was dead. He was 41.
His PA says they took him to seven or eight hospitals after he slumped. Some had no doctor. Some said their doctors were on strike. Some wouldn’t take him.
Let us talk about what actually determines whether somebody survives something like this.

We don’t care. Those are the areas generating much of the wealth that keeps this country running. If Lagos can have world class infrastructure, the same can happen in the Niger Delta and other coastal communities.
If the Niger-delta regions have their own Lekki & VI sand fill urban centers, heaven will not fall.
You cannot keep harvesting wealth from a region while treating its development as an afterthought.

Una see this Lagos to Calabar Coastal Highway ehn… it must work o🧏🏾

During the Kaduna massacre, a Hausa Muslim man who didn’t know my family took us in and hid us in his house.
When the people hunting Christians came to his house and asked if there were any Christians inside, he told them no. He even swore by Allah, saying “Wallahi,” just to protect us.
He risked his own life to keep people he had never met safe.
I was only a little girl then, but I remember everything.
The following morning, before daybreak, he led us out of his house to where the soldiers were. He gave my father some money.
From there, we left Kaduna with nothing.
Years later, when I was older, my brother and I returned to Kaduna to look for him. Unfortunately, we learnt that he had passed away💔
We did what we could to show his family how much we appreciated what he had done for us.

💔🕊️ EMOTIONAL MOMENT AS FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES PAY TRIBUTE TO LATE GOSPEL SINGER TOLUWANISINGS
It was a moment filled with sorrow and deep emotions as family members, friends, and colleagues gathered at the residence of the late gospel singer, ToluwaniSings, to mourn his passing, console his bereaved family, and pay their final respects.
As loved ones come to terms with this painful loss, prayers continue to rise for his wife, family, and everyone affected by his death. May God grant them the strength to endure this difficult moment, comfort their hearts, and give them the grace to find peace amid their grief.
🕊️ Rest in peace, Brother Tolu. Though your voice may have gone silent, the songs you sang, the lives you touched, and the memories you created will continue to speak for you. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
May your soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. 🕯️💔

He was 41 years old 🇳🇬 🕊️
Grew up and performed Fuji music before converting to Christianity.
His wife strongly supported his switch from Fuji to gospel ministry and he called her his backbone
He credited comedian Woli Arole with his big break in 2021 after Arole shared one of his songs online.
He said he had written more than 150 songs that were still unreleased 💔
He and his wife got married in 2021 and celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in September 2026.
They had two children, their second child (daughter Irorun) was born in October 2024.
He marked Irorun's second birthday on 8 October 2026, just six days before he died, writing "My joy is two years today"
In January 2025 he announced that he had become a homeowner.
In a 2025 interview he revealed that women (including older ones) had offered him millions of naira to date them, and that he always told his wife about such advances. 🤍
He and his band survived a serious accident in July 2026 when a fully loaded trailer nearly crushed their bus while returning from a ministration.
He was based in Ibadan and reportedly hailed from Osun State.
He led Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM) and blended energetic Yoruba praise with contemporary gospel.
The night before he died he performed at Bidemi Olaoba's "In His Presence" worship programme in Ibadan.
His personal assistant said he showed no signs of illness and was perfectly fine before he suddenly slumped the next morning.

You see, while we mourn his death and feel the sting in our hearts, we shouldn't forget that if he were to be here with us, he would want us to sing and sing and sing praises, because he lived a life of divine impact through music and soulful worship.
I want you to take solace in his songs. To worship with him, as you listen to his songs.
So that your heart might be full and sadness won't have a place to dwell

Toluwanisings is gone physically. But his songs will live through time. And millions more of people will be soothed and healed by his songs.
His children will grow up to know that their daddy really did touch millions of lives and brought thousands more to the peace and calm that true worship gives.
Grief is something that no one prepares for, but that which we can take solace in, especially knowing the impact that the person has had in our lives.
.
.
If you are reading this right now, and you are currently grieving someone, then I implore you to dwell in the memories of that person, not because you can't move on, but because of the closure that comes with knowing they have at certain points, made life meaningful and worthy to you.
.
.
Be glad that you knew of them and you can tell of their tales to younger generations coming in front.
At the end of it all, may we also be responsible for someone's hope, peace and smile. May we be the reason that they believe in hope and joy.
So that when we also leave this world, someone somewhere will think of us, and thank the day they ever knew us.
.
.
May the soul of Toluwanisings and the people we've lost, continue to rest in perfect peace.
