Signing a Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation MOU with Paraguay is just another step in the continued growth of our relationship between our two countries. We’ve always had strong links between the United States and Paraguay, and now, those links are even stronger.

ALT Secretary Marco Rubio stands next to Paraguayan Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez Lezcano. Both officials hold a folder of their respective signed Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation memorandum of understanding in Washington, DC on August 4, 2026. They stand behind a polished wood table with table tents directly in front of each officials that reads Paraguay and United States of America. Behind the officials are displays of U.S. and Paraguayan flags, two wood chairs, and a hanging framed portrait of former Secretary of State Colin Powell. (State Department/Freddie Everett)

Proud to see X-ray cargo scanners the U.S. Mission donated to Tangier Med Port helping strengthen security at one of the world's most strategic trade hubs.
Together with trained operators, these scanners enhance Morocco's ability to detect illicit weapons, dual-use components, and other dangerous cargo, advancing our shared commitment to security, safe trade, and our enduring U.S.-Morocco partnership.

I’ve designated the Ecuadorian gang Chone Killers as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and Specially Designated Global Terrorist. Ecuadorian gangs help Mexican cartels move and export illicit drugs to fund terrorism and criminal activity. The Chone Killers have attacked civilians, law enforcement officers, and government officials, including high profile assassinations of public officials.
Working with President @DanielNoboaOk in Ecuador, we will continue to strengthen our regional security and ensure narcoterrorists have no place in our hemisphere.

Honored to mark Malta’s entry into the Registry Information Sharing Compact, or RISC, a key tool for maritime security and countering sanctions evasion. Malta strengthens RISC’s impact at a time when hostile states, armed robbers, hijackers, and organized crime syndicates exploit commercial maritime systems and undermine the international order. This signing marks a new high in U.S.-Malta relations. The United States values Malta’s leadership in maritime security and sanctions evasion prevention. I applaud Malta’s accession to RISC and look forward to deepening cooperation that supports our national security and Malta’s borders by strengthening information sharing and enhancing sanctions compliance.

SHAMEFUL. How does the NUCLEAR Non-Proliferation Treaty conference elect Iran as one of its 34 VPs, when the IAEA says Tehran has 400+ kg of 60% enriched uranium?? — accumulating a stockpile for which it has no credible, conceivable civilian justification??
This is exactly the kind of nonsense that makes Americans roll their eyes at multilateral institutions.
Iran shouldn’t be given any cover for its dangerous behavior.
