Shortly after @GiorgiaMeloni meeting with @AndrejBabis in Prague, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka visited Rome, where he held talks with his Italian counterpart @Antonio_Tajani .
The very friendly meeting confirmed the exceptionally close alignment of Czech and Italian positions on key European and international issues.
A new 🇨🇿 🇮🇹 Action Plan will provide fresh impetus for the further development of bilateral relations.Both ministers agreed 🤝
on supporting EU enlargement to the countries of the Western Balkans, as well as on addressing challenges in the Middle East, security matters, and migration. Another shared message was the need for a pragmatic European policy. “Let us protect nature and the environment, but not at the cost of destroying our own industry,” Minister Macinka said. European competitiveness, energy security, and support for modern technologies, including the next generation of nuclear energy, must remain top priorities. The talks also opened the door to future Czech-Italian cooperation in Africa, focused on investment, stability, and addressing the root causes of irregular migration.
Great to meet @jamiemfly in Prague again, together with the members of @freedomhouse board. We discussed Czech-US relations and human rights in Belarus, Cuba and Venezuela.
Productive discussion with Artur Harazim, Deputy Minister @MSZ_RP and my fellow co-chair of the 🇨🇿 🇵🇱 Forum. We reviewed cross-border cooperation, coordinated V4 priorities ahead of the October European Council, and exchanged views on implementing the EU Ukraine Facility.

Today along with Minister @GolanMay Deputy Czech Foreign Minister Jiří Brodský @jiribr , Czech Foreign Ministry envoy for Antisemitism Dr. Robert Řehák and representatives of the Jewish Community, I participated in a very moving ceremony in Hološevice , to mark 85 years for the first transport of Czech Jews to Terezin . Less then 8 percent of people who were there on this shipment survived.
To see the pictures of some of them, to walk in their footsteps to The Bubny Train station near by was very emotional.
Then we toured the new Museum built at Bubny. I want to thank tne Czech government and @mzvcr for what they do to keep the memory alive and to fight Antisemitism in all of its forms

Vážený pane ministře, milý Juraji, @SlovakiaMFA
s hlubokým zármutkem jsem přijal zprávu o tragickém útoku na základní škole ve Staškově. Událost, při níž přišla o život učitelka a další lidé byli zraněni, je o to bolestnější, že zasáhla místo, které má být pro děti i učitele především místem bezpečí.
Dovol mi, abych Tobě i celému Slovensku vyjádřil jménem svým i jménem Ministerstva zahraničních věcí České republiky upřímnou soustrast. Mé myšlenky jsou především s rodinou a blízkými zesnulé učitelky, se zraněnými a jejich rodinami, ale také se všemi žáky, pedagogy a obyvateli Staškova, které tato tragédie zasáhla.
Zraněným přeji mnoho sil a brzké uzdravení. V těchto těžkých chvílích stojíme při našich přátelích a sdílíme s vámi bolest nad tím, co se stalo.
