I wouldn't have believed the extent to which people equate independence to dignity prior to entering this online discussion around MAiD.
Dignity and worth are inherent to each of us as human beings. We don't 'earn' our dignity by not needing others' help and support.

Sending all my love to survivors and others impacted by sexual assault. I stand in solidarity—in rage and grief—against systems that normalize sexual violence and discredit women and other targeted people. EM deserves a better world. We all deserve a better world.
If you are experiencing distress, please reach out for support.

Canada has spent years fighting First Nations Kids in court rather than upholding #JordansPrincipal. First Nations children deserve the same public services as other children across Canada. Learn about Jordan’s Principal today and take action. (2/2)

On #BearWitnessDay, we honour Jordan River Anderson, A First Nation child who spent his life in the hospital, away from his loving home, while governments debated who would pay for his care. Jordan’s life was precious, his human rights never should have been up for debate. (1/2)
