Finished 92nd/1082 players at Baltimore Regional! Thrilled to make my fourth Day 2 using my all time favorite Pokémon in Metagross - and the only Day 2 player with Kleavor! Shout out to @chlotad’s awesome M-B team for giving me an excuse to try it out in M-C! +80

I missed my flight lol, so I FINISHED IN 13TH PLACE AT THE BALTIMORE 2027 REGIONAL! (Thread + Team Report) Can I start by saying, this run went FARRR beyond expectation. I strongly dislike the pressure of first-of-format majors and the short prep window felt insane. Though I have folks I’ll occasionally bounce ideas off of, I ultimately do solo builds and craft in a way that fits my brain chemistry. Regardless, this was unironically the least confident I’d EVER gone into a regional. Ask my group, they’ll tell you all I did was whine about M-C and how I couldn’t foresee a deep run. Let’s talk about it (1/🧵)

i think this has to be my fav team ive seen this format. mega lopunny, mega garde psyspam with pseed sneasler, tr mode with mystical fire indeedee (genuinely didnt know she learned uit), ceruledge & dragonite (sleeper picks rn imo), and almost no protects. holy cook.

DEFINITELY agree. It’s a Pokémon that in theory feels like it has a negative MU into too much stuff in the format but for that reason feels vastly underexplored. Would not be surprised to see one go really far in Worlds next weekend

Mega Metagross has got to be one of the best Pokémon that just no one is using, from across all formats. It’s LO Koraidon levels of sleeper pick (also something I discovered early btw). It’s a shame I can’t show off what it can do at Worlds this year, no one ever believes me.

Huge bummer but not surprised. Got a LOT of challenges on the back burner that just became really important to finish

Sadly the Mega Glimmora propaganda didn’t catch on in day 2, but the team was still a ton of fun! Here’s my Pacers-themed team for the weekend 🏎️

Got my third official day 2! Getting this one on the first regional of Pokemon Champions and, more importantly, in my local regional in Indianapolis makes it feel extra special. Tomorrow we continue to spread Mega Glimmora propaganda 🪨☠️
