Emergency managers made crucial errors after Ohio train derailment msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opin… via @msnbc Emergency Managers need to excel at their public information strategies. Poor communications leads to public distrust of the response. Thanks @GriffinPROSERV for sharing.

The Ohio train derailment was bad enough. The emergency response made it worse.

Questions about the derailment itself start with Norfolk Southern. But local officials created an unnecessarily chaotic response.

What is happening in East Palestine, Ohio from the train derailment is egregious and possibly criminal. Lining their pockets while reducing safety. if you haven’t paid attention, you should start.

11 months ago, a small EMS agency in Texas resuscitated a 5-week old girl who was in cardiac arrest. They stayed on scene and got her back to life. If I mentioned the city name, you wouldn't be able to find it on a map.

Since Monday, at least 12 police officers have been shot. The spewing of anti-police rhetoric by some political and media figures as well as the failed policies of rogue prosecutor and judges are placing our officers in greater danger. This culture of lawlessness must stop!

EMS workers are the most underpaid, under appreciated workers in #NYC. They are on the streets every night with Cops & FireFighters. It’s a travesty they are not acknowledged for the work they do by being on Par with @FDNY & @NYPDnews. #NYC #FDNY #NYPD
