Another ambulance service closing. This is happening across the country and elected officials must act before communities lose coverage. EMS needs sustainable funding and workforce support now. Waiting for collapse is not a strategy. #EMS #ambulance the-sun.com/news/17147076/de…

The Paramedicine Board shows why. Same Chair, Deputy Chair & four state members since 2017. The shared small-jurisdiction seat has gone to the ACT every term. Tasmania, with almost twice the ACT's paramedics, and the NT have never had a member. 2/3

Wearable recorders and AI tools may improve EMS documentation, but they also raise serious concerns about consent, privacy, and protected health information. EMS agencies need clear policies before this technology reaches the field. #EMS @jemsconnect jems.com/ems-operations/you-…

In 2019, @DrJeffJarvis and I started something called The EMS Lighthouse Project. The idea was pretty simple: take the science being published in peer-reviewed journals, break it down, talk honestly about what it means, and help translate that evidence to the street. A lot has happened since then. Careers changed. Life changed. The podcast grew. And for a while, Jeff continued carrying the Lighthouse without me. Well… I’m back. I’m incredibly excited to officially rejoin Jeff as co-host of The EMS Lighthouse Project. There’s something pretty special about coming back to something you helped start—especially when you still believe just as strongly in why it exists. We have some big plans for what comes next. More conversations. More research. More guests. More questioning the things EMS has always done simply because “that’s how we’ve always done it.” Same mission. New chapter. Illuminating the darkness of EMS clinical practice. Website: emslighthouseproject.org Apple Podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… Spotify: open.spotify.com/show/2Mue7v… YouTube: youtube.com/@emslighthousepr… If you listened to us back in the early days, thank you for being there. If you found the Lighthouse somewhere along the way, thank you for keeping it going. Love this idea from #SCEMSA "Treat the privilege of leadership as an expiring license in your organization." Leaders need continuing education just the same as clinicians do for their skills. – at North Charleston, SC

The patient compartment is still the least survivable seat in the vehicle — crews unbelted by the nature of the work, surrounded by equipment that isn't always mounted. Every one of these is a design and policy problem before it's a driving problem.
