𝐃𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤! That's what a new observational study from New Zealand reports. 𝘕𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘋𝘚𝘌𝘋 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘸𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. That's where most people stop reading, and say "I told you so!" ❗ But let's not make that mistake. A result like this begs the question, "How does this make sense when the DOSE VF RCT showed that DSED more than doubled survival in refractory VF?" This is why the headline read of a study is rarely the read that matters. ✅ The methodology is. ✅ The patient population is. ✅ The timing of the intervention is.
