And we had a golden opportunity to do this if we’d approved a constitutional convention in 2017 but the mayor and governor and many others including labor unions campaigned hard against it and it didn’t pass
Remember making a nonpartisan @BOENYC would require an amendment to our state constitution - which is no small task. Would take two consecutive legislatures to approve something and then a voter referendum. Put simply, it takes years moderncourts.org/programs-ad…

It’s late but the poll workers management and poll site management by Board of Elections was negligently abhorrent. If more people would have come out it would have bordered in voter suppression by having gravely understaffed poll sites. It was outrageous especially under RCV.
By 8am, all standby poll workers were dispatched. @BOENYC could have flagged understaffing weeks ago. so many poll workers assigned to sites who 1) had not taken the req’d refresher training & 2) never confirmed avail for work. The alarm couldve been raised. instead, scramble.
