Seeking some help from #Sleep researchers: Anyone aware of literature examining night-to-night reliability of relative slow wave activity? I found a recently published paper by the Mount Sinai group suggesting good reliability (ICC = 0.86) for frontal slow wave activity in older adults: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… Yet, cannot seem to find much else in young to middle-aged adults. #Science #SleepPeeps

Love @BarstoolBigCat: "I don't get the hype about mouth tape." As well as the skepticism from @Philly_Mays on whether it actually helps with snoring. The evidence isn't there to support mouth taping, generally, and it can certainly can have serious consequences.

To @PardonMyTake Who would have thought that only a month later @Mert_723 (Merrill Kelly) and @zacgallen23 (Zac Gallen) would be facing off against one another??!! This should be illegal. #Baseball #MLB @BarstoolBigCat @PFTCommenter

Hi All! Are you interested in learning more about Idiopathic #Hypersomnia (#IH), a complex, commonly misdiagnosed #sleep disorder that has an estimated prevalence similar to that of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and epilepsy??? Dr. Annaliise Hayrynen, DO, and I are co-leading a group for a digital course entitled, "Reducing the Burden of Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH): Diagnostic and Treatment Considerations." This freely accessible course provides the opportunity for upwards of 4.25 CME, through self-study modules, engagement with others in the group, and two (30-minute) group discussions, which can also be reviewed post hoc if unable to attend the discussion. The time commitment is extremely modest and flexible, leveraging both synchronous and asynchronous learning. Overall, it is not expected to take more than 4 or so hours for completion over multiple weeks! We aim to have the group enrollment closed in early June, with completion of the group by the end of June. This course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with a better ability to recognize the unqiue diagnostic criteria of IH, apply the Idiopathic Hypersomnia Severity Scale (IHSS) to monitor symptom progression, and select evidence-based treatment strategies. For more information on the course and to sign-up, please visit: einstein.gathered.com/invite… Feel free to reach out with any questions!

A couple things! First I want to thank the @TheAMSSM for the invitation to speak on building a sleep health program for athletes. I also must commend the organization for a PHENOMENAL conference, and thank the community for a warm welcoming. Lastly, it was an absolute delight to sit down with Dr. Devin McFadden for a chat that will air on their podcast channel. Always fun to have the tables flipped on me, so to speak, serving as the guest. Cheers!
🎙️ Podcasting at #AMSSM2025! 🎙️ 🗣️ Shout-out to our dedicated podcasting team, who recorded several episodes during the Annual Meeting. 🎧 Stay tuned for interviews with Dr. Tom Cross, Dr. Jesse Cook and other experts, along with the Top Sports Medicine Articles of 2024.

Does anyone have a @getrephonic account and want to tell me how many listeners The Sleep Research Society podcast has? I would love to access these data, but the subscriptions are wayyyyy too costly for a lowly postdoc. #podcast #Sleep #Circadian

Dearest @PardonMyTake Best #Canadian that I know is @jocharest1. Would make for optimal game-watching companion, for many reasons. Has expertise in sport science as well, with specialty in the role of sleep and circadian rhythms in athletes Would likely bring poutine #strength Yet, he is a @steelers fan #rough

Dear @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk, I've been hesitant to ask, but my curiosity has boiled over. When supporting new remote work order, did you consider how this might affect clinical care for many Veterans and military personnel? Providers will often keep clinic open remotely, despite illness, to maintain continuity of care for clients. This seems like a major mistake, among other reasons related to society health and wellbeing.

Though encouraging, I still find eTRF less practical as a maintained behavior. I'm curious about real-world compliance rates. Compliance was really good in this study, but I suspect this may be influenced by compensation (though I cannot find information about compensation in manuscript)

My hypothesis of the most explanatory variables for why the @Lions v @Commanders tickets are so much higher than the other games: 1. Dome stadium during winter 2. Two extremely hungry, success-deprived fanbases 3. Saturday night v Sunday night #Science #NFL @PFTCommenter

Any #SleepPeeps have older PVT-192 devices from Ambulatory Monitoring, Inc? We are looking to acquire a couple more and are hopeful that #sleep and #circadian #researchers may have some extras collecting dust. ambulatory-monitoring.com/pv… Appreciate you!
