Hey @WNBA, your Google TV app’s "Hide Scores" toggle hides the final score but leaves "NYL leads 1-0" plastered across the screen. You hid the math but explicitly spoiled the game outcome. Please patch this for tape-delay viewers!

FWIW, I have read both The Iliad and the Odyssey in their entirety and recently read Stephen Fry's retelling.

It's unfair and frankly intellectually lazy to claim as you did on the podcast that people who say Lupita is not hot enough are ipso facto being racist. Sade in her prime was a 10. Lupita is an 8. Nice looking woman to be sure, but not beautiful enough to be Helen.
I consider it perfectly legitimate to wish they had cast only actors who plausibly look Greek. But NB, that also applies to Matt Damon and Tom Holland!
The other problem with Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy is that she is an 8, in a role that inherently requires a 9.5+.
I'm usually easily bored by slow cinema (TREE OF LIFE, good lord 🥱) but I found JEANNE DIELMAN absolutely mesmerizing, with my main complaint about the film being the ending, where you will find the only "exciting" moment, reminiscent of a more conventional film.
Matt is right, universities will just be more careful about applying race preferences and we already have past evidence of this including from my own mother, a professor emeritus of sociology.
My all-time favorite #film:
Network (1976)
with Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch, and Ned Beatty;
directed by Sidney Lumet.
MY REVIEW: People often say this film has gone from satire to reality. Hyperbole, but I can't deny its darkly comical prescience.
Grade: A+
Mon #film favori:
Network, main basse sur la T.V. (1976)
avec Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch, Robert Duvall, et Ned Beatty;
réalisé par Sidney Lumet.
CRITIQUE: Prémonitoire, brillamment écrit, et sauvagement drôle.
Note: 19 TB

I don't doubt that, and as an educator myself I agree with my school system's policy of restricting phones. But free range parenting is not the answer.
