My all-time favorite #film:
Network (1976)
with Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch, and Ned Beatty;
directed by Sidney Lumet.
MY REVIEW: People often say this film has gone from satire to reality. Hyperbole, but I can't deny its darkly comical prescience.
Grade: A+
Mon #film favori:
Network, main basse sur la T.V. (1976)
avec Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch, Robert Duvall, et Ned Beatty;
réalisé par Sidney Lumet.
CRITIQUE: Prémonitoire, brillamment écrit, et sauvagement drôle.

@SonnyBunch Curious to hear what your cohost @petersuderman (who is apparently not on Bluesky, hence my reason for coming back here) thinks. Peter, what say you? "AI slop", "plausible verbiage", or good writing?

@ARonHubbs @Jonescaster Each of you seems to be confused about something different in the second episode of Secerance.
A. Ron described the scene when Helly exclaims "oh God, the four!", and Dylan tells her to quit fucking around, as the moment when she "gets it". That's not the case, this was earlier when she was basically making fun of the whole idea that the numbers could seem "scary".
2/2 Does this ad mean other Dems are coming around to this perspective? Although the polling place depicted there does NOT provide the privacy of an old-fashioned voting booth. It is open, and you must walk through the room to have your ballot scanned.

Dems need to crucify Vance with this! Hold his feet to the fire. This is truly outrageous for a US senator and now vice presidential nominee. Worth using a gift article:

@jeffcannata Jeff, loved hearing you touting DARK MATTER, a show I also loved. Funny though that you named episode 4 as the point to get to, in order to be hooked. That is actually the only episode I rated lower than 5 stars on my TV Time app (though I still rated it 4 stars).

@ARonHubbs Just started the latest episode of THE BOYS and was struck by what a shame it is that you are only planning to circle back to GEN V after the season. The "previously on..." segment was half from that show, and spoiled a bunch of really juicy, fun twists. ☹️
So many other spinoffs have given people the wrong idea, I think. A lot of times they have someone from the main show in the first episode but it doesn't really impact that original show's narrative, and then maybe it's occasionally mentioned after that or maybe not.
