The rhetoric of Gavin Newsom and London Breed is dangerous and promoting the stripping away of the civil rights of Americans without a home. There are real solutions to homelessness, like Housing and Intensive Support.
Does anyone even comprehend the seriousness of Gavin Newsom and London Breed pushing for more criminalization as a "compassionate" response to the growing homeless crisis? youtu.be/sPmjy_9e-Io?si=2AOg… This is just the start. More politicians will follow their lead. As homelessness grows, and IT WILL GROW, the public will become more frustrated, increasing the support for a punitive response.
If any of you on this shared mission of helping people experiencing #homelessness want to meet up at the #NAEH2023 conference please DM us.

Last year, LA County went with unproven tech for the homeless count. Will this year be better? kcrw.com/news/shows/greater-…
This is doable - key steps will be to find the landlords to take the vouchers (FMRs are low compared to the current market), get vets document ready, and make sure the supportive services are in place.
County @SupFletcher announced today that he wants to develop a regional strategy to end veteran homelessness in @SanDiegoCounty.
Here are the next steps he shared:
