ALT A banner on a blue background with text. The top reads "Do you or your child have a history of poor vision in one eye, even with glasses on?" In the center there is a cartoon image of a classic eye chart, overlayed with a pair of glasses. The text in one lens is blurry. The rest reads: We are looking for people 9–64 years old with amblyopia (“lazy eye”) for a research study! Amblyopia might be due to an eye turn (strabismus) or an unequal prescription between the two eyes (anisometropia). The University of Washington Vision and Cognition Lab is conducting a study to learn how childhood vision disorder impacts the way kids and adults process visual information. You’ll conduct computer tasks that involve making judgments about visual stimuli. We’ll cover the costs of parking and compensate you for your time.
