A Moment of Hope for Justice and Accountability
On November 19, 2026, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will deliver its ruling in the landmark case of 'The Gambia v. Myanmar.' This case concerns alleged violations of the 'Genocide Convention' against the Rohingya people.
For the Rohingya, this is more than just a court ruling; it represents years of suffering, unimaginable loss, and a long struggle to reclaim their identity, dignity, and justice.
We hope that this historic moment will prove to be a meaningful step toward accountability—bringing justice to the victims and survivors, and paving the way for a future where the Rohingya can live in safety, freedom, and with dignity.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all Rohingya victims, survivors, and their families.
May justice prevail. May the truth come to light. May the Rohingya people finally receive the justice they deserve.

The Arakan Army’s abuses against the Rohingya in Rakhine State, Myanmar demand urgent international accountability. Reports document arbitrary taxation, forced labour, land confiscation, movement restrictions, and the resettlement of Rakhine and other communities on Rohingya land. These discriminatory practices have contributed to further displacement, with more than 150,000 Rohingya newly registered in Bangladesh since early 2024. In her latest analysis, international human rights lawyer Ashley S. Kinseth explains how these acts may constitute crimes against humanity, particularly persecution and deportation. The International Criminal Court must examine the Arakan Army’s alleged crimes before its Myanmar investigation concludes. No authority should exercise power over civilians without accountability. Rohingya deserve justice, dignity, freedom, and the right to return home safely.

Crimes Against Humanity in Myanmar’s Rakhine State: The Arakan Army’s Own Case (Part I)
Rohingya in Myanmar’s Rakhine State face systematic persecution under Arakan Army (AA) control, including movement restrictions, arbitrary taxation, forced labour, land seizures, and alleged killings and sexual violence. Reports also document forced displacement and the destruction of mosques.
These abuses must be examined beyond individual war crimes. As international human rights lawyer Ashley S. Kinseth argues, the evidence raises serious concerns about possible crimes against humanity, including persecution and forcible transfer of Rohingya from Rakhine to other countries.
The international community must urgently investigate these allegations, ensure accountability, and protect Rohingya civilians’ fundamental rights.

In Toronto, Canada.
We participated in an event organized by Justice For All Canada and their partner organization. During the event, a short film was shown featuring heartbreaking testimonies from Rohingya survivors about the genocide committed against the Rohingya and the Palestinians in Gaza.
The organizers also shared their collective advocacy efforts with the Government of Canada, and because of their advocacy efforts, the Canadian government has provided humanitarian support to Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
Several well-known speakers gave speeches at the event.
We honored Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Aguilar, a former U.S. Army officer, whom we were privileged to meet. During the event, he has given a powerful speech about the ongoing atrocities and genocide that devastated the Palestinians in Gaza.
The insights he shared about Palestinian children were truly horrific and heartbreaking. As victims of genocide ourselves, his testimonies deeply touched our hearts.
Thank you very much for his powerful speech, and sincere thanks to Justice For All Canada for arranging such a meaningful event.
We appeal to support Justice For All Canada

Another horrific regime air strike massacre in Myanmar. This is why calling on "both sides" to de-escalate is so absurd: only one side in this armed conflict is using fixed wing bombers to target civilians.
Stop normalizing it.
Stop legitimizing it.

I strongly condemns the arrest of Zafar Ahmad Abdul Ghani, President of MERHROM and a longstanding Rohingya human rights defender.
His advocacy has focused on the rights, protection and dignity of Rohingya people facing persecution and genocide in Myanmar, not on harming Malaysia or its people. Zafar has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the authorities should ensure full due process and respect his fundamental rights. Any attempt to detain and deport him to Myanmar would raise serious protection concerns, given the risks Rohingya face there. I urge the Malaysian authorities to release him immediately.

The death of civilians in a Myanmar military airstrike in Rakhine State.
At least 55 people have reportedly been killed and 36 wounded after a Myanmar military Junta air strike hit a market and nearby bridge in Kyauktaw, Rakhine State, on 28 September, according to Al Jazeera and R4R private source. The victims reportedly included vegetable sellers, shopkeepers and pedestrians. This devastating attack highlights the continuing risks faced by civilians in Rakhine state amid escalating conflict between Arakan Army (AA) and Military Junta. For the Rohingya, already facing persecution and severe humanitarian hardship, continued violence further deepens insecurity and fear. R4R calls on the international community to demand an immediate end to attacks affecting civilians, ensure accountability for violations of international law, and strengthen humanitarian access and protection for all communities in Rakhine. Civilians must not be targets of war.

Malaysia is preparing to return thousands of Myanmar nationals, including Rohingya, with the first group of 1,476 scheduled to leave on September 29. The forced returns come as Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim plans to host Myanmar junta leader Min Aung Hlaing in Kuala Lumpur.
Nearly 200,000 people from Myanmar have sought safety in Malaysia after fleeing dangers from armed conflict, persecution, and widespread abuses, according to UNHCR.
Returning people to Myanmar could expose them to serious human rights violations in an active armed conflict.
