Welfare for our teams, working at scenes, is absolutely paramount.
We've got an FSV for each of our Regional Forces, and they're deployed regularly to support all forensic teams at crime scenes.

Yesterday, we gathered the CSI teams in Dorset for a CPD event. The day was full of lots of interesting and useful inputs. The team tested different methods of recovering footwear impressions in sand, wet and dry, which was a challenge but had some great results!

What’s that?
A week to appreciate #PoliceStaff?
I mean we appreciate them all year round, but couldn’t agree more!
So let’s start off with Scenes of Crime Officers.
Doing the forensic work to secure a conviction is honestly priceless!
They really are awesome. #ThinBlueLine 🚨
The A420 was closed between West Street and the Lawrence Hill roundabout to allow crime scene investigators to examine the scene but has since reopened overnight. A cordon remains in place in Rawnsley Park.
Tragically, a 16-year-old boy has died following a stabbing in Bristol yesterday evening.
A murder investigation has now been launched and our thoughts are with the victim's family.
If you have information which could help, call 101 quoting 5224039827.

Thank you for your service Jon. You'll never truly understand how many lives you've had a positive impact on.
Enjoy retirement and be deliberate with your time 👏🏻👏🏻
“A police cordon remains in place while enquiries are carried out at the scene, so people can expect to see an increased police presence in the area. It’s likely those important enquiries will take a few days to complete, and we are grateful for neighbours’ understanding."
An arrest has been made after the death of a man at an address in Bradley Stoke yesterday (Saturday 18 November). Our thoughts are with his family.
Our investigation is at an early stage, but we believe this was an isolated incident.
