Today is the deadline for annual property taxes in Arkansas and it’s time to end this draconian tax. America values private property and ownership. We should be able to keep what we’ve paid for without owing an ever increasing tax to the government forever.

A simple choice can create a world of positive impact. By choosing #cotton, you're choosing a fiber that's grown in nature (renewable), breaks down naturally back to the soil (biodegradable), & can be repurposed into something new (recyclable). 🌎🌱 cottontoday.cottoninc.com/pl…

Plains Cotton Growers, Inc. (PCG) strongly endorses Tom Sell – Republican candidate for Congressional House District 19 of Texas. Sell is a proven advocate of the agriculture industry having served as a key architect of the development of the 2002 Farm Bill at the helm of former House Agriculture Committee Chairman Larry Combest (R-TX). Since that time, Sell has dedicated his entire career to the farming communities of West Texas in advocacy for agriculture as well as other industries across the High Plains. PCG is proud to call him a lifelong friend. We believe the High Plains and Southern High Plains cotton industry could not ask for a better ally and advocate and are thrilled to endorse Tom Sell for Texas Congressional House District 19.
“Tom has always had a passion for production agriculture with a genuine servant’s heart, which we need more of in Washington, D.C.,” said PCG CEO Kody Bessent. “His passion for agriculture and the overall District 19 community will serve us well, and we’re excited to support and join him as he serves the great people of West Texas.”

Sen. Charles Perry (R-District 28) designated March 4, 2025, as “Cotton Day” to celebrate the No. 1 cash commodity crop in the state of Texas. The Texas cotton industry injects $2 billion into the state economy every year.
The Texas cotton industry’s policy initiatives for the 89th Texas Legislature include maintaining boll weevil eradication funding and providing assistance to cotton infrastructure.
While we all love our industry, we have to admit the last three years have been devastating. Between poor production due to drought and lack of timely rain along with low marketing prices and high input costs driven by inflation, the Texas cotton industry is in dire straits.
Testifying before the Texas House Committee on Agriculture and Livestock, PCG President Travis Mires state, “In my 45-year farming career, this has been the worst year I’ve ever experienced.”
While PCG and others work to develop strong farm policy on both the federal and state level, we urge our membership and those outside of it to purchase cotton apparel. Support your industry by checking labels and ensuring that your outfits are “cotton rich!”

We urge Congress to stand by our farm families who put in the work day in and day out to provide us with the safest, most abundant, and most affordable food supply in the world.
Food security is national security!
Congress must include meaningful assistance for farmers, who are facing increasingly dire circumstances, in a year-end package.
Next year, we must prioritize America’s farm families by passing a strong #FarmBill that can provide a real safety net for the future.

Five months ago today, the House Agriculture Committee (@HouseAgGOP) passed the Farm Bill.
Our farmers can’t wait any longer—it's time for us to prioritize rural America and get this bill passed. Let’s get it done.
We led a letter to House leadership because our farmers, ranchers, and producers are struggling under outdated policies, and they need a Farm Bill now to provide stability and certainty.
The Farm Bill we passed out of committee (@HouseAgGOP) is crucial for supporting production agriculture and rural America.
We’re calling on House leadership to bring it to the floor for a vote so our agricultural community gets the support it deserves.
