Consul General addressed the webinar “India–Scotland Space Collaboration: Exploring Opportunities for Business, Innovation and Investment,” organised by SIA-India @SIA_Ind and Scottish Development International @ScotDevInt @scotent. He highlighted opportunities to combine India’s expanding space capabilities with Scotland’s expertise in small satellites, advanced engineering and space-data applications through joint research, investment and industry partnerships. The webinar brought together representatives from IN-SPACe @INSPACeIND, Invest India @investindia, Space Scotland @ScottishSpaceLC and private companies from both sides. Discussions also highlighted opportunities arising from the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) to deepen commercial engagement and support collaboration between Indian and Scottish space-sector businesses. #IndiainScotland #IndiaUKCETA

The North East India Space Workshop 2026, being held at Guwahati on 26th and 27th August 2026, brought together experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss the role of space technology in the development of the Northeast. #SIA #BSNLIndia #digitalindia
🚀 Session 2 | Strategic Connectivity, Telecommunication & Infrastructure in the Northeast The session reinforced the need for a hybrid and resilient connectivity architecture, combining fibre, microwave and satellite according to the region’s diverse geography and requirements—while ensuring that connectivity reaches the last mile and remains available when communities need it most. 💬 Key perspectives from the session: “When terrestrial connectivity is disrupted from every direction, there must be another layer of communication that can continue to serve people. This is where space-based connectivity can become a critical solution, providing the resilience needed to make connectivity truly strategic.” - Shri Rajendra Meshram, Additional Director General, Assam LSA “Strategic connectivity must also mean resilience. Every critical infrastructure system should have a failover mode—a second layer of connectivity that can take over when the primary network does not work. Sovereignty and resilience must therefore be at the centre of our connectivity strategy.” - Shri Praneet Kumar, Partner, Deloitte “The most effective model for the Northeast is not fibre versus microwave versus satellite. It is fibre plus microwave plus satellite—deployed intelligently according to geography, technical feasibility, economics and service requirements.” - Shri satyendra kumar Deka, PGM (CFA), BSNL Assam “Being connectivity-covered is not the same as being connectivity-assured. In a disaster, a hospital cannot afford to lose communication... The real question is whether our critical infrastructure can remain connected when everything else fails.” - Shri Sanjay Gupta, Director – Enterprise Business, Hughes Communications India “Satellite should not be viewed merely as an emergency backup communication system. Particularly for the Northeast, it should be recognised as critical core infrastructure—just like fibre and roads—and integrated into policy as a key component for building a truly resilient network.” - Shri Vinod Kaul, Regional Vice President – Asia, Gilat Satellite Networks 🌐 From connectivity to connectivity assurance — building a resilient digital Northeast. #NorthEastIndia #SpaceWorkshop2026 #Telecommunications #DigitalConnectivity #StrategicConnectivity #Guwahati #NationalSpaceDay2026 @AnilPra28432993 | @isro | @INSPACeIND | @MEAIndia | @MDoNER_India | @MSDESkillIndia | @startupindia | @investindia | @mygovassam | @sikkimgovt | @govt_of_manipur | @mygovtripura | @MyGovArunachal | @NEC_GoI | @NECTAR_DST | @NEDFi_Official | @cdacindia | @NIELITIndia

Humbled to share that we successfully test fired 4 semi-cryogenic rocket engines simultaneously, as a cluster. All the 4 engines are 3d printed as single pieces of hardware - designed and manufactured in-house at AgniKul Cosmos Rocket Factory - 1. As with all our propulsion systems, these 4 engines are also powered by electric motor driven pumps. This test involved calibrating 8 pumps, 8 motors and tuning 8 speed control algorithms to work together in perfect sync to achieve uniform startup, steady state and shutdown performance across the entire system. As with the last cluster test, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time such a test has been performed in India with semi cryogenic engines. We are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be building world class, original space technology from India, for the world with the support of @iitmadras @isro and @INSPACeIND From here on, the addition of engines to our clusters will likely increase non-linearly. #Agnibaan #RocketEngineCluster #ElectricPumpFedEngines #Agnilet #SinglePieceEngine #3dprinting #RocketEngineTest #AdditiveManufacturing #Agnikul #AgnikulCosmos #StartupIndia #MakeinIndia #madeinIndiaForTheWorld @srinathr155 @moin_spm @satchakra_iitm @iitmadras @iitmrp @IITMIC @tdbgoi @IndiaDST @ANRFIndia @TIDCO_1965 @startupindia @TheStartupTN @Guidance_TN @startup_mission @SIPCOTTN

Today, I inaugurated India’s first state-level Centre of Excellence for Space Technology supported by the Dept. of @ITBTGoK at the Aerospace Park in Bengaluru. Karnataka has always been at the heart of India’s space journey and this CoE builds on that legacy. Space tech is a key pillar of our deeptech stack and through our Deeptech Decade Program we are making a focused push across both upstream and downstream segments. At the inaugural, MoUs were exchanged between the CoE and partners including Dassault Systèmes, MAHE, ABLE, Helogen Corporation and IdeaBaaz to drive research in space biotech and microgravity, enable industry collaboration, build talent pipelines and support startups with training, visibility and market access. The ecosystem is already here. The policy is here. The talent is here. The institutions are here. The infrastructure is here. This CoE brings it all together for Karnataka to lead the next phase of space innovation.
