You may have received the UK Government wildfire alert. Please take it seriously and help keep 999 lines free for emergencies. Call 999 only if a fire is spreading or threatens life/property. If you see someone having a BBQ or a bonfire, please don't call 999 simply to report it.
Shropshire Fire Control are currently receiving a high volume of calls regarding a fire in Pontesbury. This is a large fire that can be seen across the county.
A number of crews are currently in attendance at an RTC on the A41 at Sandford Bridge. We expect this to be blocked for some time, please find alternative routes.
